Customer service by store manager (#877) is above-par. (written back in 2021 probably).
Update on 2/22/2024: I rented a unit on the 6th floor, ending my rental on 2/15/2024 due to my moving out of state. I started my rental with them September of 2021 (to give you context for how long I've been satisfied with Cubesmart satisfying my storage needs).
When I first moved into Haverhill, I immediately noticed such amenities endemic to the 15 Hale Street location such as availability of a cargo van for moving in my materials as well as future usage contingent on availability. It's cheaper to rent than a U-Haul. I challenge you to find another storage place with such an advantageous amenity that makes moving from one town to another (especially interstate) less stressful and costly.
I noticed over the 3 years I've used Cubesmart that the facility is well maintained and cleaned, usually with a surplus of carts to move materials on ground floors. Also, there's a well maintained restroom conveniently located in proximity to the office, open during office hours. The elevators were convenient to use as well.
In addition, there are two main entrances: the front and the rear, preferential access contingent on where my unit was (in my case, the rear was better). An overhead door allowed for entry and exit of bulkier materials heaped on carts. If there were any issues with the door hinge/lock operation, management ensured timely repair by their designated vendor.
It was readily apparent that management cyclically toured the premises to ensure everything was in order. At this point, it would be good to mention how effective, diligent, cordial, and exemplary customer service-driven was store manager Nicole and her staff: I have never seen anything like it. Whenever I would call or email, she answered promptly.
Honestly this is the best storage place I've ever rented from and am sad that I am moving to a city that doesn't have a Cubesmart because I appreciate how it's business model is run.
Also, one of the reasons why I chose this facility is due to, at the time when I started my contract (again, September of 2021) the most economic rates I've googled once I compared to neighbouring storage facilities.    Read moreJessie, the General Manager for Cubesmart in Haverhill was very accommodating in helping with my termination of the storage, there was lack of communication on my end and she was very understanding. She went above and beyond to ensure the ending of the rental agreement went as smooth as possible. I honestly wouldnât give this facility more than 2 stars but Iâd give Jessie more than 5 stars if it were an option as she was the saving grace for this facility. When I initially signed up in May of 2016 my âmonthly rentâ was $129.00 a month including the insurance. The price was raised twice in my two years renting from cubesmart each time by $10, resulting in my ending rent being $153.00 I understood that was a possibility going forward I just expected it to reflect their online pricing which was cheaper than what I was currently paying. Iâm not entirely sure who helped me out when I signed up but I recall her being polite and helpful. The employee even warned me that the freight elevator was constantly out of order which I wasnât too concerned about since the day I brought in all my furniture it was running perfectly and lucky for me (or so I thought) my storage was right in front of said elevator. The problem came every time there after. I was in and out of that storage roughly 10 times in those two years and the freight elevator would always be out of service, sometimes with an out of order sign posted on the door. My storage being so close to the freight elevator unfortunately meant it was was on the opposite end of the working elevator (which was not as large) so moving things out wasnât as simple especially considering carts were far and few in between, most of the time I had to scavenge for one. That however is the customers fault although they should have something in place for that not to occur. The lights were flickering upon my last visit to the storage approximately a month ago which could be disastrous for someone suffering from epilepsy or seizures as itâs considered a trigger.    Read moreVERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Been renting with cubeSmart for a couple of years now. ALWAYS PAID MY RENT ON TIME! My rent started out at $180. NOW its up too 291! (Even after a few years, no brake) My rent is ONLY 8.00 off of the online special today. CubeSmart is all about themselves! I get it but where is that custom service for current customers!! I had a few unfortunate family deaths all within months of each other! Last one was very unexpected, my sister at age 43!! Anyway I ran into a deep funk of depression and couldn't get out of my way. Saw Doc eventually whom helped me get back on track again with medications and therapy to make things alittle more bareable in my life. My storage unit had got neglected, and unpaid which went into auction status! I explained what had happened, offered to get them proof of death certificates too, I asked them if they could do anything for me since I HADN'T BEEN LATE BEFORE. (Jesse said he could void the (2) 29.91 late fees.) The computer wouldn't let him do it. He called GM who said since it's in auction status there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO FOR ME! THEY THEN WANTED THE NEW MONTH TOO WHICH STARTED THAT DAY! HE TOLD ME ITS ALL OR NOTHING! HE WOULDN'T EVEN LET THE NEW MONTH WAIT TILL NEXT WEEK. (Have 5 day grace period on current month but that didnt matter) I CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW THEY WON SOME GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARD WHEN THEY HAD NO COMPATION FOR ME WHOM HAD 3 FAMILY DEATHS IN MONTHS AND ALWAYS PAID RENT ON A TIMLY MANNER.
