Fantastic shop and amazing Tie Dye!! John, the store owner and artist, was one of the most genuine and nicest people my family and I have ever met. Plus little Tootie Roll, his adorable Chihuahua, is the only Chihuahua dog that doesn’t just shake and bark. She is full of love and a sweetie. As for his art…it’s awesome and at a price you won’t find elsewhere. The store is beautiful. One room has all sorts of items on sale and the prices on those are insanely cheap. He has tank tops, t-shirts, dresses, socks, tapestries, yoga pants, hoodies/sweatshirts, stickers, handmade incense burners….so much more. When we were on the island the last time I must have been there 4-5 times. So now I just order online. Hawaii is an amazing and magical place and if you’re on the Big Island you gotta stop here. John and his story are inspirational to say the least. It isn’t called Tie Dye Hobo for nothing. Tiedyehobo is a magical place to visit. It is a must stop while exploring the Big Island. The owner John is extremely nice and helpful. He gives you plenty of space while you're shopping through his great selection of tie dyed work. He is readily available to answer questions, dye your cotton clothes, and show off his workshop. John offers tie dye classes and does custom work also. I am on a budget so always scope out the $5 dollar room where I have found some rocking tie dyed clothes in my price range. I bought tiedye sheets here for my bed and just love the way they look... makes me smile. Thankful to have a place like this to shop near Kona. Appreciate all the free oranges too!
