Service tech bang on the front door to replace severely damaged our washing machine assembly enclosure; aftermarket replacement was damaged; refused to reassemble; left tub and top controller assembly on the floor; insulted my wife and stated to me that I do not take orders from you; just asking why your not reassemble the washing machine; it was totally disrespectful and called Ken and he was a condescending and was not customer friendly; his tech was Jake would unhappy because he was caught deliberately damaging my washing machine by using a rubber hamper to force it to fit; American Home Shield filed a complaint executed to up management. Tech Jake stated that during repair customer should expect damage and also all parts come damage. My washing machine was a 1.2 year old Lowes unit and was replaced by American Home Shield the year prior for the same gear clutch malfunction. I called Ken on 2x occasions and stated to AHS “do not ever have this company step foot on my property ever” -Ken responded to my like he did not care the least, This company attempted to perform quality of work and blame the customer for not accepting damaged part as a norm. This company is a bully oriented and unprofessional.
This dismantled my washing machine 2x and damaged my property and reassembled with a damaged part and stated this was just a small dent and it was the norm,

Ken and Joe with 1st Rate Appliance are hands down the best appliance repair people! Ken and Joe were on time, kind, professional, honest, and amazing communication skills. They do washers, dryers, ovens and fridges. They just repaired my dryer CORRECLY FOR 1/2 THE PRICE as the other guy that came out. I have used Ken in the past, but recently accidentally booked with someone else at another company.. I didn't want to cancel on the new company, so I tried them...he left so rude and was going to charge me twice as much as Ken just did to fix it the right way!!! The other guy wanted to replace the entire control board on my dryer when it was the heating element that was broke. Read moreMy 10 year old Samsung washer was having problems with the water intake. My detergent cups wouldn't empty and there was hardly any water coming into the machine (if at all). About 10 months ago, I had the same problem repaired under my home warranty, which they replaced the cold water intake valve. The problem I was having was the same as before, but didn't want to call that company again. I found Ken with 1st Rate Appliance repair on Google ( he's local for us), and after reading all the reviews, decided to get his opinion. So today I called him, and within 2 hours, he was at the house. He was able to fix the problem quickly, no parts needed. Seems that if you are on well water, the intake valve gets clogged more easily, which is causing all of my problems. Ken took the time to explain this in detail, cleaned the valves, tested and retested my machine. All works good as new! I am so happy to have met Ken at 1st Rate Appliance Repair, and will continue to call him whenever I need...
