Adam & Eve Stores — Local services in Helena

I've been going into this store since they opened and have spent atleast $1000 there. Then I went to return an item today (it had not been opened or used in any way) and they told me that I needed to contact the manufacturer to do a return. I didn't purchase it from the manufacturer, I bought it from Adam and Eve, that's the most outdated return policy I e ever encountered in any store anywhere. Nobody sends a customer to the manufacturer to do a return. The only reason to do such a thing is to make it so difficult for the customer to do a return that they don't go through with it. I'm guessing that they don't have enough money to do returns, and that leads me to assume that the toys they sell on their shelves don't actually belong to them but rather they are consigned to the store in hopes that they don't have to do a return. That's the last time I spend money in that store. Had they givene store credit I wouldve spent it all there in the store that day.
