Hays cash saver is a local small-town grocery store that has a pleasant atmosphere with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful employees. It’s usually a relaxed pace but It tends to get busy in the later part of the afternoon. During that busy time of the day the checkout lines can sometimes get lengthy, but they always have a “ Real-live person” at the register to help with any issues you might have during check-out. The cashiers are efficient and quick to move the lines forward. The prices are mid-range to moderate but they offer weekly specials and sale items to reduce costs. Overall, this store is well-stocked with a good variety of grocery items, friendly helpful employees and it’s always clean and easy to get in and out of. Please. stop stocking ground turkey and completely rotten chicken livers. I have to feed my animals meat and the last 4 times I've bought ground turkey from you it has been fully rotten and an extremely foul odor hit me in the face every time I opened the package and this was on the first day. Do you know how dangerous this is? I know what oxidized meat is and no, this is not that. As a matter of fact, it looks completely normal in the package and in the center, so who knows how it can appear good when it's inedible. Its also slimy. I wouldn't rely on their dairy, either. I've never had a great experience with that. The chicken livers had huge black spots. Puke. Why? I otherwise have a good enough experience...

I guess this place is OK. It is pretty run down looking outside and not much better inside. Parking is a little crazy out front, so pay attention. Items are stacked in the floor waiting to be put away making it difficult to get around. Some items just look like they have been there a while. There were a few items on our list that they were out of stock on and a few that they just don't carry. On the upside... Everyone we came in contact with was Very friendly!! Prices seem to be normal or better that normal compared to some other stores. All in all, we will be back. We just need to get a good take on what they stock and...
