Robertson Trading Post — Local services in Henderson

I ordered a rifle from Robertson's Trading Post through GunsAmerica. A week after I placed the order, I phoned Robertson's for a status. I was told the rifle was ready to ship and I should go ahead and set up the transfer with my local gun shop. I did so. A week later, I phoned my local gun shop for a status. They had received no response from Robertson's. I then phoned Robertson's and was told that the rifle was no longer available - but they would sell me a different model for more $$. I complained to GunsAmerica and asked them if this was an honest mistake or a case of bait and switch. I then received an email from John Robertson. In it, he explained to me that I was "throwing a tantrum" having a "fit" and that I should be careful who I accuse of bait and switch. I was lectured on gun rating (not sure why that came up), and basically disrespected, completely. I replied to his email with some thoughts of my own - to which he replied that I could use some growing up and anger management classes - to go along with my corn flakes.

In short - I didn't get what I ordered, it took two weeks for me not to get what I ordered, and I was insulted by the (I assume) owner of the company - in writing. I don't know about you, but I believe in buying from honest people who respect and value their clientele. Its my opinion, no amount of savings is worth dealing with folks like these. A shame really - as it seems so many of you folks out there love this shop. I hope my experience with them...

Talk about fast service! I ordered two right side take down levers for two Star Super Bs I own that have been sitting, unused for 9 years because the previous owners had broken off the take down levers thinking they pulled out like a 1911 instead of turning them to release the the slide. They aren’t shootable when the slides are not secure, so the two beautiful pistols were nothing but pretty hammers. No replacement parts were available until Robertson started selling a perfect replacement part that is slightly beefier and should last a lifetime. In 10 minutes I had both guns in working order.

The parts arrived in just a few days and were securely package and had a nice blue finish.

Thank you guys so much for catering to the Star owners and offering such fine service.

We purchased our first handgun from Robertson Trading Post and had it shipped up to Illinois. Their price was one of the most attractive I'd seen on the Internet, they were very friendly and helpful when I called, and they walked us through the purchase process over the phone. When our local FFL dealer sent them his information, our gun was already waiting to be shipped.

When our gun arrived it was missing a piece, but our local dealer called and the part was shipped out the same afternoon by 2nd day air! Mistakes happen, but it takes a savvy, well-run company to correct an error promptly and cheerfully!

When we decide to purchase another handgun, Robertson Trading Post will be the first place we go to look for it. They are a good company, and have earned...
