Thieves! I brought a lawn trimmer in for repair and they asked for a $60 deposit. Couldnât understand that but after questioning the reason for it one of the workers said sometimes people donât pick things up and itâs a disposal fee. Pretty lame. I brought it there because I thought it might be a warranty issue That would be covered. I had only used it about 10 times. The person in the shop said they would call me regarding the issue since I only paid $79 and didnât want to put much into it. I never received that call but was called after it was repaired. It just needed a carburetor adjustment. For someone who works on these all the time it shouldâve been a 15 to 20 minute job. I got billed for a full hour. $50. I then noticed there was a $10 shop fee. All thatâs needed is a screwdriver. Maybe they had to go out and buy a new oneđ. Oh wait maybe the charge was for a sheet of paper towel to wipe his hands. They didn't bother to check the hydraulic oil bolt under the unit to ensure it was torqued to specs, and it slow leaked over the winter in storage, making a mess and obviously losing the hydraulic oil. The store manager was given a message to call me, and never did. I had to call the store again to get him on the phone. The store manager's excuse was "we don't tighten the bolt". Well that's just great. When I paid to have the machine assembled, I expect that machine to be problem free. I had an issue with a sprayer so I called Northstar and the guy was super great. He determined the pump was bad and under warranty. Said I could go to the store and they may have one to swap it out. I went to the store and no one wanted to help me. I literally got bounced between 5 different people. The Manager Craig was unwilling to help me or his employees. I was told since they didnât have it in stock I would have to pay for a replacement. As soon as I left I called and they had a replacement sent out, I got a tracking number in less than an hour.
