McKenzies Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hermantown

I recently had an amazing experience at McKenzie's Bar and Grill and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a fantastic atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional.

The menu had a wide variety of delicious options to choose from, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. The food was flavorful, well-presented, and exceeded our expectations. They also had a great selection of drinks to complement the meal.

What truly stood out to me was the exceptional service. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They were happy to answer any questions we had and provided helpful recommendations.

Have stopped at McKenzie's for years, last pit stop before heading north on 53. For the most part the meals were very nice and we always stopped when in Duluth. The past 6 months or so not so good. We found the food was not the quality it once was. On March 15, 2019 we stopped. Believe me, going out to eat is a big deal for my husband and I. We ordered the special since we had to be home at a specific time. We ordered fish and chips. When our order arrived, we were speachless to say the least. The 3 small pieces of fish we're burnt and greasy. The chips? Bagged potatoes chips deep fried! Oh, they were burnt also. Who deep fries potatoes chips? The food was absolutely terrible! So Mckenzis was at grill wars with their jalapeno popper burger but they were the first to run out and that happend before I got there. Then when I went to the bar and grill to have the burger that was supposed to be able to be ordered there but they told us they stopped making it because it was too difficult to make and took too much time, despite me offering to pay more and wait lol. But then I hear there is a new menu and that the jalapeno popper burger is back. So of course I had to go try this, and unfortunately for anybody reading this hoping it might've been worth it, it wasn't terrible but it was a dry burnt burger set on top of cream cheese and deep fried jalapenos.
