Chan's Furniture and Walmart failed completely. There was no follow up from CHAN’S FURNITURE, or from WALMART (the platform which Chan is doing business through), on any delays even though I was supposed to be notified. I had to continuously call Walmart (total waste of time as they like to hang up on people---I have those recorded calls) to find out what happened. I called SEKO Logistics and got the info on this shipment that I ordered on 6/7/2022—CHAN’S FURNITURE didn’t even send it to SEKO’s UNTIL THE 15th (which was supposed to when it was going to be delivered to me). It didn’t get to Los Angeles until 6/22/2022 (which was the second date given to me). SEKO told me that they were still waiting for CHAN’S FURNITURE to get another carrier to pick it up and continue delivery. CHAN'S FURNITURE LIED---THEY HAD POSSESSIONS OF MY ITEMS UNTIL THE 15th WHEN THEY DELIVERED IT TO SEKO (the first promised delivery date to me). Called Walmart (talked to Luis) and was ASSURED it would be there on 6/22/2022. NOPE, no items. Called and texted Chan's Furniture that I will have a refund due to their mishandling of my order (twice). Messaged Walmart thru their chat and got disrespected by their offshore so-called customer reps (in Pakistan/India) and they tried to disconnect me by sending DNS attacks (have that recorded and witnessed by IT people). Messaged Chan's Furniture and got no response (6/23). Called Walmart (6/23 with Luis Fernando) and they agreed that I would be refunded. Chan's Furniture manager Sean finally contacted me on the 27th with the LAME excuse that he didn't know about the issue. BIG LIE as I told him not only did I leave voicemail and text messages (all recorded with proof of delivery), he also received emails from Walmart. Then Sean (from CHAN's FURNITURE) did the deflection dance trying to blame it on COVID which I shot down as another feeble attempt of his to ignore his responsibility. When I called him a liar on this (I worked in logistics and I know the process), he changed his tune asking what shipping company I use because then he could get the items to the west coast quicker. He just implicated himself further. He couldn't be bothered to respond to a customer until somebody from Walmart (finally) contacted him? Walmart couldn't be bothered to follow through after multiple attempts from me to get this corrected? Chan's Furniture and Walmart continuously LIED about them doing their job on this issue. I told them that I had contacted my credit card company to not pay them ANYTHING (dispute) for the entire order, they didn't like that (too bad, quit facilitating stonewalling to avoid refunding customer's money). Do yourself a favor and don't buy from this place; Sean (manager) is a liar. Yeah Sean, I have the texts, emails, and calls all recorded which has been shared extensively online. I wanted to let you know how great Erica is. If not for her, I would not be a happy customer.
I had a lot of problems with my orders as I did not open my delivery until 31 days of receiving the product. The reason for this is we were in the process of remodeling our bathroom and were not ready to install what I had ordered. I ordered a vanity complete with backsplash, sink and mirror. I even paid for an extra side splash to complete the look.
When it came, It was beautiful, but was missing the vessel sink and side splash and came broken- the structural piece that extends across the entire front of the cabinet was broken along with the magnet piece that holds the vanity door closed. I had called several times and was told that as it was after 30 days, I would have to pay to ship the vanity back if I wanted to return it. I was also told I would have to pay to ship the things I never got- the vessel sink and side splash. The paying to ship what I should have gotten in the first place never made sense to me as Chans furniture never shipped it to me. After multiple attempts, I was pretty upset and was ready to write a bad review. I even asked to speak to a supervisor which I was denied the right which further upset me.
Then I called one last time and spoke to Erica. She was kind, polite and respectful. She listened to me and was determined to make this right. She spoke to her supervisor and arranged for the things I never got to be shipped to me at no charge. She even got me a repair kit and a little refund so I could fix the vanity myself. She took a very unhappy customer and made me happy to be doing business with Chan’s furniture. Her poise and persistence helped resolve all my issues and eased my mind. She always returned my calls and texts and even gave me her direct phone number so we could communicate faster. I cannot tell you enough how great of an employee and person that Erica is. You should hire more people like her and she deserves a raise and a promotion.
P. S. Even when we had arranged everything that was going to happen, there were still problems getting the stuff to me. But Erica was helping me along the way. She worked with me not against me. She followed through. And when my stuff sat for weeks for the mailing service to pick it up, she arranged other ways to get the stuff to me. She was persistent, innovative, and had a can do attitude. Read moreBuyer beware! These vanities are very poor quality. The marble is two thin slabs of marble glued together then a line of black marker is drawn over the line so you can’t tell. I ordered two vanities from here. One of them came with damaged doors so they promised to send me 2 new doors within 2 months. I would call to ask the status and they would tell me a few more weeks or month. When I would call to ask about the doors the employees would laugh at me bcause they knew the doors were never coming. The marble also stains like crazy just from water. I brought this issue up and they refused to help me as well. After a while I asked for the manager Sam regarding the staining and the doors and he cursed at me and called me names, even the b word. I had even sent him pictures and videos but he refused to do anything and went off on me! After a year I received the doors but then my second vanity the top marble slab formed a crack across the whole vanity. When I called they refused to do anything about it except offer me to buy a new slab of marble. Their marble is garbage fabricated in China. I had to replace that vanity. I want a refund! I’m so happy I have moved out of that house and am done with those garbage quality vanities! You are better off going to Home Depot. Not worth your money or time. Awful customer service and no respect for the customer who put their hard earned $$$$$$ for their cheap products! They claim to have offered me a replacement which they did not! They told me I would have to pay out of pocket to replace it! It’s a bathroom vanity with a large sink on top nothing fell on it nor did anyone sit on it!
