Rascal Salvage Vintage — Local services in High Bridge

As if the High Bridge/Clinton area isn't a fun enough stop already, you have to check out this new downtown High Bridge shop, which is on a side street just around the corner from the Highrail Brewing Company (my initial destination and a MUST stop!). There was a sign on Main St pointing down the street to the store, so I checked it out. Apparently it just recently opened, and from the retro paint job and signage out front I got the feeling that 'this is going to be good'. It was! Everything's vintage and there's so much cool stuff here, from an impressive vintage 60s-80s clothing section (some items still packaged!!), really fun 50s to 90s pop culture type items, a sizeable record selection, and LOTS of neat artwork, posters, vintage toys, personality items, hip furniture and the just plain unusual. Everything is well displayed/organized and in very clever, fun ways. It's like you want everything they have, but I had to settle that day for 3 albums (REALLY happy to find) and a must have Ms Pac-man pinball machine backglass for my bar. I was quite happy with the prices and the owners were very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a lot of fun to talk with. Cool music playing. Great vibe. You'll love this...

Wow! This shop is a work of art! Michele and Rob are genuine people with a true appreciation for history and life’s treasures. This fun-filled shop that they lovingly put together right down to the hand-painted wooden sign is a source of inspiration and happiness. The vintage selection is phenomenal and constantly changing. The clothing is my favorite with many new old stock pieces that you will not find anywhere else. Meet some great people and get something unique for yourself or a loved one! Great music, too.
