Peking Wok — Restaurant in High Bridge

Have been waiting to try this spot since moving to califon from Colorado. Ordered general tso chicken, extra crispy, because that’s always my go to. Walked in and gave my order number and watched a cook take an order of crispy chicken and then proceed to empty a can of pre made sweet and sour mix onto the chicken. Do better. I’ve heard nothing but great things about this place but if I travel out of my way to get decent Chinese food I expect more than shitty bulk sweet and sour mixed in for my entree. Everyone in this area has told me that NJ has the best Chinese food in the US but have been greatly disappointed thus far. This restaurant was recommended as good food and we thought we'd give it a try. We placed our order in the app, which said it would be ready in 55 min. That seemed like a long time but it's a holiday so we planned accordingly. My husband paid for the order when he arrived and thought it would be ready in 55 min, as advertised. After 90 min, I asked him to get a refund, cancel the order, and leave. They assured him they were making the food now and it would be ready shortly. It has now been 2 hours. He is a type 1 diabetic. Very disappointed. When I placed my order I felt rushed and then the employee hung up . No bye nothing. I picked my food. I Needed utensils he said nothing pointed to the right. I had asked the woman. Trying to get her attention since her attention was on her phone she points to the left . I said he sent me over here. Not getting up continues to point to the left.
