Cutest cafe in New Jersey!!! We stopped in on a whim after walking the Columbia Trail and were pleasantly surprised by the adorable vintage collectibles, homey details, and home made menu. The owner runs the cafe, bakes the food, serves the coffee, and she even makes homemade ice cream. This cafe is a hidden gem. Lots of gluten free options including delicious chocolate chip scones. The berry crumble is insanely good. I look forward to returning to try out more of the menu. The tables have checkerboards for playing and the atmosphere is so inviting you could stay for hours and feel at home. The only improvement would be if there was a high chair available. Overall this is the epitome of a small business that people should support. The owner is so sweet and hard working. You only need look around to see that she has put her entire heart into this cafe. I will be telling my friends to check it out when...

However, the tomato grilled cheese sandwich was delicious and I would come back for another, but I'm also curious about other items that sounded appetizing on the menu... You can visit Polka Dot café before or after hiking or biking on the Columbia trail, which is...
Read moreAmazing monthly tea at the Poka Dot Cafe! This is a hidden treasure with all food items sold, being homemade from scratch, under the supervision of a nutritionist. Many different types of breads, soups, entrees, ice cream and baked goods. Even did a low carb lunch, as a favor to me at this tea! Started out with deviled eggs, celery and blue cheese soup, two salads , roasted chicken, ice cream with cranberry compote and of course an amazing selection of teas! Even offer low cost peanut butter sandwiches and hot dogs for the kids. Truly a culinary delight and you’ll enjoy the welcoming “at home” atmosphere that the owner, Christina extends to every guest. Serves breakfast all day on Sunday. Give it a try and find your new favorite place right in...
