Tonight 3/19/24 around 9pm, I was doing last minute shopping. I was at service aisle/lane 5. My cashier was a young man named Richard. I've never seen him before. But, he was really professional and had a calm demeanor. He neatly and strategically placed my items in the correct bagging division, and even double bagged my milk upon request without any attitude. I just wanted to give recognition to him. I know working with the public isn't easy. But, the feelings are definitely mutual. It's reciprocated both ways. I honestly stopped coming to this location for a while. The staffs were really rude and a bit aggressive. Not everyone, but I good solid 3. Everytime I come, the girl with the green hair always gives me a hard time with bagging my milk or juices. She complains and said that it's against the store policy, blah ,blah blah. I've never hear of that my entire life. I have to go up a flight of stairs with a toddler, just bag the milk without excuses. She is also the worst of bagging. She throws heavy items on top of the vegetables. Combines all the cold items with the hot items. And over stuffs the bag. I know they have to go through proper training and it is definitely not how it should be bagged. And then you get the older lady with the detectable clip in ponytail. It just seems like she is always in a bad mood and give big KKK racist vibes. It's so awkward and uncomfortable. If youre a person with some melanin, she will be so unhappy and she doesnt even greet you at all. But the Caucasian before me and after me had a different tone for her. Its so obvious. She is always huffing and puffing then slamming your bags down. Most of the times I go. it's alway them 2 working the registers. And I end up doing the self check out, just to avoid them. Then, you get the guy with the blue hair that's often "monitoring" the self check out. And he, is also a big reason to not want to come. Every now and then, something happens and you have to call for an attendant to verify age. And anytime you flag him to come over, he alway act like he is aggravated or annoyed. To be honest, it's his job and I definitely didn't want to talk to you either. Ironically it seems to be the ones with bad hair styles that gives the worst service. It's sad that i rather drive 6mins to the Food Lion on Lexington Ave, when I'm only 2 mins away from here just to avoid a bad or unpleasant experience. I hope you hire more people like Richard. It truly makes a big difference. I feel that with newer generations, they try to normalize the "accept me as I am demeanor", but when you're at work, and have a uniform on, professionalism should be implemented in how you engage with customers. Trust me, if it weren't for Richard, this review would have been a 1...
Read moreI used to go to this place all the time for personal shopping and grocery delivery service, but their selection of dry grocery, produce, dairy/frozen and meat has left a sour taste in my mouth over the past several months. The staff that works there are for the most part excellent, but shopping is a complete headache and nightmare at times, especially when I'm doing grocery deliveries. Their produce selection is lacking quality as a lot of vegetables are typically wilted or beginning to rot, or the dates are just not good. The frozen section is almost always out of product, and I hesitate every time I walk over towards that section of the store. Part of the problem is that they do not have enough help to properly stock the product, so good help is hard to come by. I can tell that sometimes the employees stocking the cold product do not care as they always look burnt out.
The one saving grace the store has going for them is the deli and bakery department, and the employees that work over there. I would rate their selection and customer service a 5/5, as you can tell they care and definitely know what they're doing.
Stay away from this store if you're trying to do a grocery delivery service. You will spend more time communicating with your customer about all the out-of-stocks, low quality product, and whether they would prefer a refund or replacement for said items. Think you'll be in and out within 10 minutes? You're looking more at 30 minutes, so better bring a long a couple acetaminophen for...
Read moreI am a disabled veteran. My wife, granddaughter, and I stopped to shop on Sunday around noon. I operate a mobility scooter and can not walk more than a couple of steps. I had trouble getting the scooter back to where the bathrooms are. Finally managed to get inside the handicapped stall, only go find that there was no toilet paper. Both rolls were completely empty. This led me to believe that bathrooms had not been checked in a while. I was able to get into the other stall, but it was a real struggle. Handicapped stalls are large for a reason. Upon returning to the front of the store, I brought the toilet paper issue to someone's attention. She very slowly walked over and told someone at the Customer Service Desk. I did not see walkie talkies or radios being used and the CSR appeared to shrug it off. I hope and pray nobody is stranded in that stall as you read...
