I’ve had a deeply disappointing experience with Verellen furniture. In 2023, we purchased a sofa and two club chairs, specifically the Seymour XL sofa in Montmartre fabric, through a distributor in Oklahoma. Less than two years later, we discovered a large tear in the fabric of the sofa, located in one of the most visible and frequently used areas. When we reached out to Verellen, they informed us that the fabric had an abrasion rating of 22,000 Martindale, which they claim qualifies as medium-to-high durability for residential use. According to them, the damage constitutes "normal wear and tear." Frankly, we were shocked. For a sofa that cost over $12,000, we would never have expected such a significant defect, especially in a piece we treat as a formal item and use infrequently. Verellen’s only suggestion was for us to contact a fabric store in Atlanta to locate a replacement swatch and pursue repairs on our own. While we understand that they do not offer a warranty on fabric, we expected a much higher standard of longevity and support given the price point and supposed quality. We’ve since advised our interior designer not to recommend Verellen to future clients. The craftsmanship simply does not live up to the cost. Unfortunately, our experience has made it clear that Verellen is not a brand we can trust...
