I had a lot of high hopes for this place, but it was a let down. I ate there a few times over the span of 10 days only because it was the closest place and the food is a little bit better than Dos Toros. The food, some is good some is not. The caldo is good for either chicken or beef. The barbacoa is not bad, but I've had better. The breakfast was good, but wow, they took so long for two plates and there was nobody else there. The churros are delicious made fresh every morning, but they need to be consistent as to how they serve the food. The platanos fritos con crema were served whole one time and sliced another time and the price the same when you most definitely get less when they are sliced. The tacos most definitely are not good, the tortillas horrible and the pupusas are only ok, but not good. are ok and the tortillas are horrible. Some of the people that work there are really nice, like Margarita, others can be a little bit rude. The service is better than the food, but still the service is not consistent. And the guy that walks around with an attitude that grabs food from the stove and acts like the owner is most likely the owner, but he shouldn't be sticking his nasty hands where they don't belong if you are not the cook owner or not. So most definitely not good at all. The store is a nice place with a variety of items and the customer service is much better and the prices are not bad, but yes on the expensive side. So if you have time to find a better place...
Read moreFirst time coming to this place and last time coming to this place. Ordered flautas, quesadillas, pupusas, and choripollo. Out of all the ordered items the choripollo was the only alright thing. No one should attempt to make pupusas if they don’t know how. This restaurant tried to make them with hard shredded cheese, not mozzarella like it should, and some type of meat that looked watery and had added so much red bell pepper that it tasted disgusting. The flautas were wrapped with bacon (that was not written on the description of the plate) and the chicken had no flavor. Again, it was topped with the hard shredded cheese but no sour cream in sight. And to top it of the flautas and the quesadillas came with rice and beans. The rice was super mushy and you could tell they had added water which left it tasting bland and their beans were burned and so they had a nasty smoked taste. Instead of making another pot they still served their customers burnt beans. The quesadillas again no mozzarella in sight and the chicken didn’t taste right. We also ordered horchata, could taste this was made out of powder and not made authentic. Very disappointing having spent $73 on food we did not eat. I didn’t take a picture of it all, but you can see what the pupusas looks like inside and...
Read moreMy first time ordering from Taco Corner today and will be my last for awhile. I ordered with a lady at a counter. It was a bit crowded. Since it was around noon, it was expected. I waited 30 minutes to get my 3 tacos. I shopped a bit around inside to help pass time but I felt it was a little too long for a simple order. The food was okay. I had ordered 3 barbouches tacos. The meat was tender but tasted funny. I ignored it and instead ate the seared green onions to help taste better. My husband didn't like it and thought I should have gone somewhere else to get tacos. My husband can be picky when it comes to restaurants to eat out. So I didn't mind his opinions. However, not 2 hours since the meal at this place, I had bad food poisoning. I threw up 3 times and all of the tacos out of my stomach. It was horrible. My husband had tried to tell me the food was not good. Now I will be wary. I will not give up on this little restaurant but I will try other foods instead...
