[Update] In response to owner indicating that they don't have a woman working there in finance and that I must have the wrong dealer with this review. Again, this is the second Audi we have purchased from this dealer. I'm not shocked that there is no record of either of our auto purchases (we bought two Audi's from Audi Exchange) at this dealer, as the paperwork process at this particular dealer was a nightmare for me. These are the three people that we worked with on my email chain: 1) Raluca Cheregi 2) Brian Dunton (Great sales guy) and 3) Vic Jalili (Not sure who this person is, I don't recall dealing with him personally). Again, I recommend Audi Exchange with some reservations. My review remains unchanged.
[Original] I bought my car from the Audi Exchange. I did all the features negotiating via email and on the phone. You don't have to actually go into a dealer and haggle anymore. At the time, I purchased the car, the supply chain was a problem and so my car came right off the boat. I had previously bought my first Audi from The Exchange many, many years ago before I had children. I had a relatively OK experience even then. It was a different time and I was a different person.
The salesperson I worked with at the dealer this time was diligent and friendly. He was helpful. I had all the documents in order via email. And I made it clear I wanted no issues or funny business upon arrival. And it seemed like everything was going to go smoothly as I arrived at the dealer to pick up my car. Until I got to the finance woman. Suddenly there were problems with the contract, she were trying to add additional things I didn’t ask for. Certain things missing from the contract. There were little details that were not in place that needed to be put in place. I ended up having to call my certified public accountant and my attorney just to make sure that I needed the certain language in place on the paperwork.
The finance person was a bully to me, and claimed she couldn't make any edits on the electronic contract. And tried to get me to sign the electronic document. I refused and she almost lost the entire deal. I just about walked away because I said, if you can't put this required language in the contract that I sign, I'm not going to buy this car. She was on the phone, yelling to people, to make sure she could actually issue a paper contract, which could be altered with the correct language my CPA said I needed. And I said to her, I’ve never heard of a situation where paper contracts are no good anymore. That you actually have to have a digital contract. It was a fiasco. It was not seamless and frictionless. It was not friendly, it was hostile, and I was extremely uncomfortable.
After I closed the deal, I requested a callback from the manager a couple times to discuss the transaction. No one would talk to me. Nobody was really interested in hearing about my poor experience.
When I purchased the car, there was a supply chain issue. Audi Exchange got the top price for the car. I did not get a deal. Because of this, I was very disappointed to have had so much difficulty during the finance part because I didn't give them any difficulty in terms of how much I would pay for the car.
I don't know if I’d recommend purchasing a car from The Exchange based on my experience with the finance person. The salesperson was as friendly as he possibly could be however, again we didn't get any discounts on the car. So why wouldn't it be friendly?
I do love my car. They sold me a good car. It's in good condition. Good quality. Everything that was on the sticker was on the car. There weren’t any tricks at all. There was nothing missing. This is one of my favorite car brands, so they already had half the battle solved with me coming in there to buy this car. Which is why I was so disappointed in the experience.
I am a woman buying a car. Sometimes problematic when you walk into dealers because they're not used to dealing directly with women. They're used to dealing with maybe couples or men.
I recommend The Audi Exchange with...

The Sales process was great (Kris and Robert). Bought a new Q5 in May 2025. Traded in a Cadillac Escalade as well (2020) that they made a good profit on. They will tell you how great they are throughout the sales process (over and over and over). My problem was that on July 5, 2024 - my used 2018 Audi A6 (46,500 miles) engine gave out randomnly. I had it diagnosed (for free) at a local speciality shop who indicated it would cost ~$11,000 for a new engine - due to a bearing giving out and metal throughout engine. I am not an expert on engines but
if Audi is having engine's blow out at 46,500 miles and not helping customers - that is a problem. I had the car towed to The Audi Exchange thinking they would help me based on my recent purchase of a new car. They started by charging me $299 for diagnosis and then quoted me $26k for a new engine. WTF? They said my local "oil-change" guy who we have been using for 20-years must have screwed up the 6/5/2024 oil change. Again, WTF? They said they would contact Audi Corporate on my behalf to see if they would assist in anyway. The answer ended up being a strong "NO" due to the fact the car was out of warranty, I didn't by it at the Audi Exchange and that I did not have it serviced at Audi. I then reached out to the attorney in California who lead the recent class-action lawsuit against Audi engines (not the VW emissions fiasco- you can look both up) and she told me to go through the BBB. I tried to professionally push back through the BBB; I then received calls from two separate Audi Exchange managers who basically "mocked" me for filing a complaint against Audi Exchange. IN summary, both managers said the Audi Exchange has nothing to do with my problem and they don't care about negative reviews because they have so many positive reviews. Bottom Line: Car Salesman are good at what they do - sell cars (warm and fuzzy). But when it comes to helping clients beyond anything within absolute day to day issues - they stick the middle finger up at you. I finally sold the useless vehicle to Peddle for pennies on the dollar. When I finally had my car picked up by Peddle following a long vacation they said I was lucky they didn't charge me a storage fee for the car being on their lot so long. (This was never mentioned during any of my conversations with the Service Center). I am going to continue to fight this through Audi Corporate but I don't expect any assistance. I wouldn't recommend Audi or VW for a future car purchase. A recent report on Visual Capitalist placed Audi (26th) and VW (28th) out of 29 - near the very bottom in terms of Reliable Car Brands... here is the link. voronoiapp.com Source - JD Powers - The Most Reliable Car Brands in the US - July 2024. I am sure Audi will respond back questioning my integrity. Look me up. I have a credit score of 824, worked solidly for 35-years and have never had problems with my simple cars as I keep them well maintenanced. Read moreI wasn't really seriously look for a new car. I mean a new new car. I have a 15 year old Audi TT convertible with 115,000 miles on it. I still love it. But my husband started looking around saying I needed a new car. Said I'm not getting any younger And there was no way I wanted to get a brand new car. We just normally wait until they a a few years old and that is find with us. So after a couple of months looking for another Audit TT convertible, we come to find that the one I want would either be red or blue (I already have a blue one and love the color) with the brown saddle seats in them.
They don;t really exist. So I just thought, oh well I will just wait. Then my husband wanted me to look at a Jaguar and an Aston Martin. And the 20th Edition Audi TT Roadster. Granted the Audi was beautiful, but the price was something I didn;t want to spend.
So we went to Audi Exchange to just look. We did have to stop at the dealers for the Aston Martin and the Jag. But I still like my Audi TT.
I started chatting with Alex Jung on Monday night. They only made 999 of them and 40 were shipped to the US. They happened to have one. In the Grey Pearl effect and of course the Saddle seat. Absolutely gorgeous. We then e-mailed back and forth, even on his day off Tuesday about the car. We decided to go down to look at it on Wednesday. We live in Milwaukee.
As soon as we got to the dealership, Alex met us at the door and said he would brought the car into the garage, from another garage. We went to his office to wait and started talking only to find out we both loved traveling, although he has done a lot more that we have. He showed his pictures of Egypt when he was a bit younger. Just a nice exchange about things we have in common. It's always nice for me to get to know a person before I make a big purchase. And fell comfortable with them. Alex certainly made us feel that way.
We went to the garage and He started to go over every inch of that car. He knew everything about it. Even my husband was impressed since he is a car guy. He knows everything about every car. We have a Porsche, a Vette and a Benz.
He wasn't pushy or arrogant, like some sales people can be. Just very informant and friendly. He could see I was hesitant about getting a new car but still didn;t go over the top.
You could see he really likes his job and is excited every time he sells one. He made me feel comfortable and not just like a client wanting to get a commission from. Even the finance manager (sorry forgot her name) was very nice and not pushy. We also had travel in common. So we talked about Hungary and Budapest.
So the whole experience was wonderful. Every one there was very nice.
If it wasn't, I would not have bought the car. Having a good one on one with people and getting that good vibe is very Important to me.
Even Sergio, the guy who got my car ready said "You have a very nice car"
My husband is looking for an Audi R7 in a few years and we will definitely come back to get one of those.
Thanks again to Alex and the rest...
