Well me and my girlfriend came to Target to buy a special edition Pikachu Nintendo 3DS, we were the first ones there and we waited outside the store till it open 8:00 am US central time. Then this blonde girl that technically works for Target mobile, but not actually target waited outside too. Anyways she wanted to purchase it and we (my girlfriend and I) were next. The one who was "helping" us was this tall black male and he said he couldn't help us because the items were reserve ahead of time (3-6 months ahead) he said. We didn't believe it because this item was just announce like 3 weeks ago, and every target we visited that day (about 5-10) said that was false and he was lying. We called the store Manager and we were connected by a man name Shaun, a very patient and understanding man, he confirm our assumptions and apologize for the inconvenience. Which I believe the guy who didn't sold it to us should apologize to us instead of Shaun. To top it off, we over heard the three target employees that wanted to buy this item and they were plotting when they should buy it. This I thought was disrespectful because Target is a business and these people shouldn't involve their personal gains with their profession. We came as "guest" and we weren't treated appropriately by the cashier in the electronics department today in the morning and also he shouldn't lie to us because nor his superiors, because he said that his manager told him to not sell it because they were reserve even though every target within a 50 mile radius said otherwise. Target managers should train their employees better when it comes to treating their "guest" better. I'm not saying that all employees are bad because there are a lot of good people there, but it was just particular guy, and the other people involve of plotting to buy this device. I like target, but I didn't like how the employees treated my girlfriend and I as "guest" since we were treated more as strangers that are not welcome in their neighborhood.
UPDATE:1 So I remembered that the first one to buy it was the target mobile girl. Shes short and blonde, with short hair, but I forgot her name... The 2nd one was an overweight man who works at target, his name is Gabriel and was working for the electronics department I think. He's Latino, wears glasses and is not too tall. It wasn't fair that these people lie to their "guest" and I'll see to it that anyone reading this is notified about them so that they don't experience the same thing what I went through with my girlfriend. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, if you think you are being lied to and you think they are these people, CALL...
Read moreI usually don’t have any problems with this store. It’s very well organized and clean, the staff is friendly, cashiers are usually available depending on the time of day. However, after what I’ve experienced this evening with their new policy of banning exchanges and only doing refunds, I’m rating this store two stars. The guy (manager) with the glasses and dark hair is pretty cool and fair. However, I was not impressed with the young lady, with dark hair in a pony tail with glasses. (I don’t know if she was an assistant or also a manager) who flat out rudely would not honor the same price I paid for my son’s bike. Obviously, there must have been an issue with the bike, because we just purchased it last week, while it was on sale. I felt like with the inconvenience we went through to have to bring this bike back, Target could have been more accommodating. I was so tempted to just accept the refund and go elsewhere to purchase another bike altogether, but I had a pending appointment and my son really needed his bike at the time. I told my son to let me know IMMEDIATELY if he encounters any more problems with this bike. This will be my last time purchasing another bike from Target!
I’m updating my review because one of the managers, Jenn called me and rectified the matter. She was also concerned. Thanks so...
Read moreI feel as though I have been quite fair and reasonable, and now I feel the need to leave this review. My car had an anti-Semitic piece of literature tucked in the doorknob when I got back from shopping. I DO NOT blame any particular person at Target for this act, obviously, BUT my father and I have placed 6 calls today to this location, and there is either no answer or we are put on a seemingly never-to-end hold. We talked to a manager after the incident, and we were told they were going to alert HPPD. We told them and they said we should follow up with them. The incident occured on Saturday, and we have given almost 48 hours to allow them to sort stuff out, but I fear they have not. I WILL be contacting the Highland Park Police Department, and I advise people to be very careful in the parking lot because it attracts bad ilk. In a city like Highland Park, and the recent tragic historical events, we are frankly quite shocked that they don't seem to be following through. I am willing to alter this review, if they will call me back with information. After October 7th, I am just not gonna take this sort of BS from a...
