Terrible customer service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
I ordered furniture a MONTH in advance and scheduled a delivery date for a month later. I was moving from the west coast to DC and had multiple confirmations that my furniture would be ready and delivered on Oct 1. Oct 1 came and I waited all day and evening and the driver call me at 5pm and stated “it’s too late at night so we’ll deliver tomorrow”. So because I just moved to DC with nothing but my clothes and this furniture was absolutely needed, I had to go find a hotel room. Then the following day Oct 2nd they did indeed bring my furniture but they were missing my $800 coffee table. When I asked when it would come in the delivery person said “I don’t know you’ll have to wait and see”. Terrible professionalism and customer service. I was informed on Oct 6th that JMD themselves were going to the manufacturer to pickup my coffee table and they will call me for delivery on Oct 7th. That didn’t happen. So on Oct 8th I called for a refund and all of sudden they now have my coffee table and can deliver it that same night.
When the delivery showed up, the delivery person repeatedly said “we’re only dropping it off and not setting it up”. So I said, “well I paid for some furniture to be drop off and others to be white glove setup and installations and you white glove installed ALL of the other furniture so why can’t you setup the coffee table since you were 8 days late with it”. He said “sorry my paper says drop off in your house and then we’re leaving”. This is once again terrible customer service and JMD should know that in these situations you should just do the right thing and setup the furniture that your customer waited 8 days after the delivery date for.
The delivery drivers were unprofessional, lacked customer service skills, personal skills and empathy. I will not buy from them again and would not recommend you buy from them either. Take your business and your money...
Read moreI had the BEST EXPERIENCE!!! This was my first furniture buying experience anyways and they made it grand. When I walked in I was unsure about what I actually wanted to purchase even after browsing online and reading the circulars that come in the mail. The Woman who assisted me was VERY nice, patient and helpful. She showed me everything I wanted to see even if it had her walking in circles. I went in yesterday, purchased a Mattress and Box-spring and was worried that it wouldn't be able to be delivered that day being as though it was my only off day for the week. The Woman assured me that I would get the bed delivered that day. She gave me a window of time, the "driver" showed up around the time and I was surprised that it was the Owner of the store and his son. He also let me know that the salesperson I was working with earlier was his Wife. I thought that it was so sweet that they were a family business. He put up my bed quickly and left. Overall, the experience was great and I will be ordering again.
After reading many of these reviews I think that people don't understand that this is a discount furniture store. Don't expect Crate & Barrel furniture here, it is a place to get inexpensive furniture pieces at a lesser price. Also, from my time there I noticed that they only have one truck and a few delivery helpers it probably would help to go in there on a slow day and time I suggest...

Let me just start by saying this I put a queen bed mattress and boxspring on layaway on April 12, 2019 I paid the remaining balance this past Sunday June 9, 2019 the store manager Niamat wrote on the receipt paid in full and scheduled delivery for today June 11, 2019 between the hours of 5pm-8pm. This morning I woke up and my gut told me that it was going to be some bs and boy was I right I called the store this evening at 6:30pm just to check to see if the delivery was still scheduled for today so he act like he didn’t know what I was talking about talking bout he can’t find the paperwork how ironic so I expressed to him how unfair and unjust this was and if I didn’t have my furniture tonight that I wanted a full refund tonight because first off u not going play with my money or my time that’s not what u going to do.
