Edit to add (as of June 12): originally I had rated 5 stars for this location and my experience. However things have drastically changed since buying my car. A week after I left with my car I was notified [while on vacation] that there were issues with the paperwork that was filled out and the bank was no longer willing to loan for a finance of the car. I was then told I would need to fill out another credit application [that put an additional hard inquiry on my report]. After doing this, I was then told I would need to come in to resign paperwork all over again. This in itself is a hassle as I don't live nearby (45-50+ minutes each way). Over the last few weeks I have attempted to arrange times of when to sign paperwork, and made it clear I would want a finance manager present to discuss everything. On multiple occasions issues have come up on their end to where I've been otherwise instructed not to come in. Once again this happened now today, to where I texted early in the morning to let it be known I could come by. It was confirmed that everything would be ready to go and that the finance manager would be present. Hours later, when I was 10 minutes from the shop, I get a text telling me things can't be completed properly and that the people needed aren't there. Once again I was told "don't bother coming in". This is extremely frustrating and now becoming a total and complete hassle. I am beyond annoyed at the lack of proper communication and action needed to get this stuff done. Part of me wishing now I hadn't even bothered with this car. I just bought a car there this week, a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. It was originally at the Mt. Holly location but they were able to get it to Hatfield the next day. This is now the 3rd car I've bought from this shop, as they continue to be highly reputable and have great deals. I worked with Evan this time and he was wonderful- very responsive and insightful to my questions. I am very happy with my recent purchase. They made the trade in process easy and I was able to get everything else done quickly.

7/29/25 My response to CarShop : Yes Jason, you did state this. However, in my text message back yesterday, I asked if you had spoken to the appraiser and looked at the surveillance footage that I am sure CarShop has. I’m still waiting for your response. The damage was not there prior to my visit. ——————— Disappointing Experience & Unacceptable Damage Response On Friday, July 25,2025 I visited CarShop in Hatfield to look at a Tiguan and had my car appraised. While my experience with salesman Dan C. went well – he was helpful and looked into an advertisement error regarding the cooled seats that were not in the car – the overall visit unfortunately resulted in a very frustrating experience. Upon opening my car's hatch the day after the appraisal, my daughter and I discovered several noticeable scratches on the interior that were absolutely not there before. I take meticulous care of my vehicles, so this was extremely upsetting. When I reached out to the general manager, Jason Seipt, regarding the damage and provided photos, the response I received was shocking and frankly, unacceptable. Despite my concerns, CarShop denied any responsibility, stating their appraisal process doesn't involve touching the interior of the hatch. They dismissed the possibility of damage occurring while my car was in their care, without any apparent willingness to review camera footage or speak with the technician who was in my vehicle. This complete disregard for the damage and lack of accountability is deeply disappointing. I expected better service and a willingness to investigate from a reputable dealership. As a result, I will not be giving CarShop my business, and I will be cautioning my friends and family about my experience. I would advise others to thoroughly inspect their vehicles immediately after any service or appraisal here.

Three months following my purchase from CarShop and my initially glowing review. Unfortunately the brake lines on the vehicle I purchased from CarShop completely corroded and I have been unable to drive it. This is not an issue that happens in three months, especially not in the summer. This was a safety issue that should have been addressed by CarShop during their inspection and prior to putting the vehicle out for sale. I now have to pay a ton of money to repair a car that should have been safe to drive. I’m very disappointed as I put a lot of trust in CarShop, and I feel that their warranty policies are not adequate if they are going to be putting blatantly unsafe vehicles for sale. I was merely days out of their three month warranty when my brakes gave out (while on the turnpike, I might add, which put me and others in danger). It’s a huge disappointment and I’m frustrated that I relied on a vehicle that was so dangerous. I stand by that the sales representatives were lovely, kind, and accommodating, but that’s all I can say that’s positive unfortunately.

On October 24, 2022 We purchased a 2019 Buick Enclave (essence trim level). We financed the vehicle through Santander bank in the amount of $32,100.28; We have since then also paid roughly $12,373 in the downpayment, monthly payments and repairs.

Every problem that we encountered, we brought to the attention of CarShop. Within the first two weeks we noticed electrical and brake issues and made CarShop aware. Being as though we only have the Buick as our only source of transportation, when issues were brough to the attention of the service department at the Hatfield CarShop, I was often made to feel as though I was less than or as if I didn’t know what I was talking about. I was turned away and told to take videos and pictures when these instances would happen to provide them tangible proof. Doing so would have often placed me in a great deal of danger as well as breaking of the law as many of these instances happen while driving. When it was safe for me to take pictures or video, I did and I was still turned away and pushed aside; However, when my husband would be present he was treated with much more respect than I ever was (although it was all a facade).

As time went on and our concerns weren’t repaired (because they “Couldn’t reproduce or identify our claims”) the safety concerns grew. The issues were (and still are): audio controls, StabiliTrak break sensor, Emergency Park break will turn on while driving, rear Seatbelts (don’t lock as they should when brakes are applied), Rear passenger seatbelt 2nd row is backwards, Rear Ac Vents do not blow air out of the ceiling vents, Musty smell after rain, Leaky roof when it rains in the second row (driver side rear)seating by window(black mold visible), Water leaks in by the front passenger seat by the window, Brakes have been a headache since Day 1, Parking sensor malfunctioning(continuous beeping even when you are no longer in reverse) just to name a few.

The CarShop diagnosed the leaking of water as being a result of “Broken door sealant” water is getting into the car (mostly on the passenger side); however, this is still a very present and ongoing issue which is an extreme health concern for my children, husband and myself (pregnant) with the increased mold present inside of the car.

After our initial denial of the above issues by Eric in the Service department, a complaint was filed by my husband. We were then connected with Jason the Store manager who was determined to get these problems resolved. We were told that we were going to be treated with the utmost respect and that we would be able to receive a loaner car while they worked on our car (which was something we were denied continuously). On several accounts, my husband and Jason were in frequent communication as to the status of our Buick and everything that we were promised would be fixed, never was. We were lied to, made a mockery of and left with a car that leaves me in danger when I am commuting from home to my children’s school and my husbands’ job. There have been countless times where I have been placed in life threatening danger while behind the wheel of this Buick Enclave purchased at CarShop.

If you are contemplating purchasing a vehicle of any kind, I would strongly advise you to steer clear of the CarShop. We have paid for the repair of our electrical grounding circuit and an alleged hole in our exhaust (Dec 2023) only to still have the exact same issues happening. When purchasing a vehicle, you want to choose somewhere who values you, your family, your concerns and definitely any safety concerns. You don’t want a place that will make you feel less than, discriminated against, hopeless, lied to and disrespected. Steer clear of CarShop, especially the...

I purchased a truck from Carshop this spring. I was issued two month temporary tags. As of today, the vehicle is undriveable and parked in my driveway, despite the fact that I’m continuing to make loan and insurance payments. Carshop has not completed the most fundamental aspect of the transaction: ensuring the vehicle is legally registrable in my state. Shop with caution.

To be clear: I came into this purchase fully prepared. I had selected the exact vehicle I wanted, secured financing, brought bank checks, and provided proof of valid insurance—both electronically and in person. Carshop had everything they needed to process the transaction correctly. Their own records confirm this. Yet on May 14th—over a month after the sale—they requested that I resend the same insurance documentation I had already submitted, meaning that my paperwork wasn't filed until a month later at best. Rather than take ownership of the delay, Carshop attempted to shift blame onto me, alleging that my insurance was insufficient. That claim is contradicted by their own signed documentation.

I’ve reached out to Carshop on numerous occasions. Each time, I’m transferred to Michael, the salesperson I originally worked with, but I’ve never been allowed to speak with someone directly in a position to address the issue. Since raising concerns about the expiring temporary tags last week, communication has noticeably deteriorated. Every inquiry is met with some version of: “It’s with the third-party service; it’s out of our hands.” This does not align with the responsibility conveyed by charging MANDATORY documentation fees, and promising full facilitation of the registration process. Carshop has also not taken any steps to extend my temporary tags, despite my multiple requests. This would have been a reasonable and minimal gesture to prevent the vehicle from becoming unusable.

I’ve even tried to resolve the issue independently by contacting the DMV directly. After providing them with my VIN, the DMV requested a tracking number for the title and registration documents that were supposed to be sent in. Neither Carshop or their third-party service has been able to provide this tracking information. I work very hard for my money and have no problem paying for quality service, and that clearly hasn’t happened here.

I had been considering Carshop for another household car purchase next year but can no longer consider this option, nor recommend them to anyone. This process has been extremely stressful, and because there's no clear timeline for resolution, has contributed to a lot of financial...
