Went today, just ordered a falafel, the lady there threw in the french fries, which were awful(pre friozen) and charged me an extra $4 for them? Pay attention to your bill when you check out if you're getting to go! The Dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) were small warm oily and did not taste so great, served with a tiny amount of tzatziki on the side and I paid $11.50 for 6? They were soggy and icky by the time I got them home. So maybe they would've tasted better served fresh, but... at Tabora Farms in nearby Chalfont, Pa... not a Greek family, but better cooks! They tasted better, fresher, were bigger, and I paid $3 for 6, though without Tzatziki. My friend also ordered dolmas, took home and found a hair in one of hers! I had to apologize deeply for recommending them, based on a good take-out experience I had about five years ago. I called and spoke with the owner about my experience this evening... He did say a quick sorry, but that was it, then I got hung up on. Nice he didn't just get defensive but I will def not be going back there again and can not recommend to anyone. I expected somewhat of a refund, at least for the french fries I did not order, or an offer to come back with a discount or something?? My friend and I spent almost $60 . Nope. Two stars overall, only because I got an apology...
Read moreHere's the skinny. If the main staple, "the gyro" doesn't wow me, i can't get myself to further explore. Everyone knows if the pita is not grilled to perfection it will fail the test, like this one. If the lettuce isn't crisp and thinly sliced like the onions and tomatoes it'll fail the test, like this one. They used wide cut romaine and it was wilted. I don't like tzatziki so i can't comment. Look man, i love gyros and have eaten enough of them to tell you this isn't "The One." It could be if you apply the love that it deserves into it. You guys also messed up my order royally. Perhaps i'll revisit, but only if i get to assemble my own. LOL. So, folks there you have it. No disrespect, i'm sure they're fine people, but please fix the quality of the main staple so i can give it another try....
Read moreWe really wanted to support local business and don’t mind spending extra to do so, but it was astounding how far the prices were in comparison to the quality and lack of fresh ingredients in the food. A small Greek salad was almost $20 - barely had any feta, only a few olives, mushy tomatoes and didn’t come with grape leaves or anything extra. All portions did come with a large amount of gyro meat but it didn’t taste fresh and we all had tummy issues after. The tzatziki sauce was thick and separating from the oil, so that might have been what didn’t sit well with us too. The pitas were also stale unfortunately. Maybe we ordered wrong but don’t plan on returning. Prices were way too high for such...
