Salty Dog T-Shirt Factory — Local services in Hilton Head Island

*The restaurant and t-shirt factory are separate buildings not connected to one another. Call each place individually to confirm hours of operation, especially off peak season.

Arrived at 8:15pm 3/4/25. I was informed over the phone and confirmed upon arrival at the Salty Dog Cafe restaurant that the t-shirt factory was open until 10pm. Upon completion of my meal at 9:15pm, the T-shirt factory was closed. The ladies at the ice cream shop said the T-shirt store closes at 9pm. The restaurant manager, Derek, was apologetic and informed us the staff were indeed supposed to still be at the t-shirt factory until 10pm. Super disappointed, we could have picked up our shirts prior to our meal had we known. My mom has waited over 40 years to come here. We loved our meal but unfortunately will have to guess our size and color preference...

There was something for everyone here! The T Shirts were definitely aligned with souvenir prices. (I purchased a long sleeve t shirt for about $30, but saw some options at a higher price).

There are two locations of this T Shirt Factory located close to each other - one is on a second level with a narrow spiral staircase leading up to it. It was slightly tricky to navigate and can imagine it being even busier than what we experienced. The staff member who checked us out was an incredibly friendly guy.

Salty dog that doesn't allow dogs. The menu that says send us pictures of your pup - nope. The covered seating - nope. Oh. And a $9 fee because it's on a private area of the island. We arrived, after paying a $9 fee, to be told dogs were only allowed outside the t-shirt shop about 100 feet down. We went down to the t-shirt shop to see them packing up because it was too cold.
