I paid $40 for a gel manicure I could have probably done on my own at home. For this price, I want to leave with something I love, but I honestly think that the people who work here are given minimal manicure training, so even when they do their best it's just like when my friend paints my nails.
I never go to get my nails done but decided to splurge for graduation. Atmosphere is not welcoming at all, the workers were talking amongst themselves most of the time. They charged me extra for a simple design (one nail with two different colors on each half). The man doing my manicure was nice, but struggled very much with this simple design and I could tell he could not really do it. (I am okay to pay extra for design--but they could not actually do it well). I didn't have the heart to tell him right then and there (which I guess is my fault), but the design looked so bad every time I looked down on my nails that I came back the next day for them to fix those two nails by putting down a solid color (but I was never refunded for the botched design).
Not to mention they cut my nails really short and uneven. Then, to top it off, when I came back in for them to fix the botched design on two of the nails, the man redoing my manicure decided to redo another finger (not sure why, they all looked equally bad to me). Well he replaced it with the wrong shade of yellow! So now I have one finger that does not match the rest. They "fixed" one problem, but created another one.
At the end of the day, I hate my nails, I'm out $40 (which is big money for this recent college grad) and when I look down at my nails, I hate them. I realize the workers here are not very skilled in manicures, so I do not even wish they would fix it--I would just like my hard-earned money back! But that will never happen :(.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all, I don't get my nails done very often. But, this was my worst experience in a nail salon yet. There weren't many people (workers or customers) when I arrived. I paid for a deluxe mani/pedi. This normally includes the heated mitts, but they used hot towels instead. The whole thing felt rushed and not "deluxe" at all.
I had a very difficult time explaining what I wanted, because no one spoke English very well. I was actually wanting some advice and ended up texting a friend with my questions.
The girl who did my feet actually stopped and was touching up her own nails at one point. And, the man who did my finger nails kept cutting them crooked. There was a definite slant to my nails, even after I tried showing him how crooked they were. I had to file them at home!!
Plus, as in many salons, they have massage chairs. But, I have no idea if they work or not. I wasn't shown the remote or anything and didn't see it until I was leaving. Other salons I've been to make sure to turn the chair on for you and hand you the remote so you can adjust it how you want.
Also, the gel polish they used chipped after just over a week!!! That should never happen. So, I had to pay someone to remove it in the middle of my vacation in the UK....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family has been at this salon and they loved it, unfortunately I canāt say the same. First time I went there made the appointment with Bee for 12:30 and she start doing my nails at 1:20. I wasnāt impressed with her work but decided to give it another try since my cousin and aunt love her so much, so I made a appointment today for 4pm I thought it was a little odd that the guy who answered the phone didnāt even get my name and number but he said 4pm I was down for it, so ok. I drove 35 minutes to be there exact at 4:03 when I got there he said that Bee has left already for the day, I was furious and he had the audacity to say āsns? Pick a color Iāll do it for youā NO!!!! I called and made a appointment for a reason, not to just do it with anyone available, not even a phone call to cancel or to ask for me to come another day, so unprofessional and has no consideration for the client. Unfortunately my family will still be going to do their nails with Bee, but she wonāt see...
