Not even 1 start for this hospital, 2/6th my mom is 82 years old , she went to ER for 130 hb, Doctor started process with tests but one of them was ct scan pelvis WO CONTRAST, but the nurse, provided 2 bottles of contrast to her damaging the liver, making her vomiting and instead to help her he rushed mom to be admitted, in 2nd floor, in that floor nurse transferred her to 1 bed to another while she was vomiting and leaving her alone in the room with out any supervision, my mom aspirated her own vomit and this went into her lungs creating an immediate sepsis, needing to be intubated in ICU. Today is 21 days in the hospital she is no the one she used to be she is totally lethargic like a vegetable, and nobody from the hospital said a word for their responsibility.

My mom 82 years old, still in hospital this time at JFK Medical Center, huge difference, this hospital still trying to fix all bad treatment she received from Bayshore Medical Center, Bayshore still not saying a word for their responsibility leaving my mom totally disabled after she received a bad practice in ER when the nurse Ladislav V on 2/6/2025 provided 2 bottles of barium (contrast) for a ⢠CT ABDOMEN PELVIS WO CONTRAST, and in the second floor people in charge room 219 leaving her alone while she was vomiting, ending in aspirating her vomit that went into her lungs causing an immediate sepsis, and just because I went to her room after the people left her alone, is because my mom still alive, because I found her unconscious, drowning, dying while one Nurse was dancing outside in the corridor making everybody laugh, and when I scream for help was when all people came just to find out that vital sing machine didnât work and people went crazy trying to fix that machine instead to help my mom, âSHE IS NOT BREADING, HELP HERâ I yelled, but they still working on that machine and also brought 2 more machines that also didnât work, finally Dr Megha Chitkara said that she will need to be intubated, several minutes passed, and her brain started to died, that is the reason why she is disabled, because of you Bayshore Medical Center. But I received a letter from Jenna Sobieski, Experience Advisor from Office of Patient Experience saying she has been advised that my mother was appropriately given barium prior to imaging. Very bad because letter does not match the medical records.
What a shame Bayshore Medical Center.

My mom 82 years old, was at at JFK Medical Center, for 42 days, this hospital tried to fix all bad treatment she received from Bayshore Medical Center, but she is not normal, damaged is not fixable, Bayshore still not saying a word for their responsibility leaving my mom totally disabled after she received a bad practice in ER with nurse Ladislav V on 2/6/2025, he provided 2 bottles of barium (contrast) for a ⢠CT ABDOMEN PELVIS WO CONTRAST, and while she was vomiting, the staff leave her alone with out ANY supervision, causing my mom aspirating her vomit that went into her lungs causing an immediate sepsis and needed to be intubated, but the reaction staff came late, they took several minutes to intubated.
We continue looking for services for her, to help her, but it is not easy. Before this event with Bayshore Medical Center, my mother was a very active person, very independent, happy person, today, she is very sad, depressed and very sick, she needs a lot of support, and we, her family, are devastated, our life changed, we are all disappointed to see how easily this hospital made this mistake and left her in a complete abandonment; they never called for a follow-up or even ask how their patient was doing.
What a shame Bayshore Medical Center.

Hey Bayshore Medical Center, I received your message saying I received a call and you are happy because you helped. Please Don't LIE, nobody called, nobody from Bayshore Medical Center cares about my mother, I didn't received any sorry or help from you for what you did. WHAT A SHAME BAYSHORE...
Read moreMy 95 year old grand mother was brought to the ER at Bayshore dehydrated, with a UTI and a severe case of thrush. Prior to her arrival I had asked, actually tried to insist that they bring her to Monmouth Medical. However, I was told no and that they must take her to the closest hospital. Reluctantly I met her in the ER with my power of attorney letter informing them as soon as she is stable I wanted her moved to Monmouth Medical. The care we always receive at Monmouth Medical is second to none and we all like and trust the staff there.
So once she was released from the ER and admitted I started making calls to arrange the transfer. However, during that time to my pleasant surprise, the care she was receiving at Bayshore was top notch. So I started observing the nursing staff and found no flaws. Everyone was competent, friendly, kind, and caring. They took their time and made sure she was comfortable. The nurses didnât bat an eye on doing something a patient care tech could do if they werenât available. All requests and call lights were answered promptly. My grandma has tricky small veins but that didnât deter them one bit they simply got a vein finder and sure enough got the vein without turning my grandma into a pin cushion. Her comfort seem to be as big of a concern as getting her well.
The patient experience ambassador Mark didnât just stick his head in and introduce himself. He asked questions, told us he was here to help and wanted to know what he could do to make things easier for us. I was blown away by the sincerity and throughout our stay he repeatedly checked in on us and her.
The dietitian Annie came in and not only discussed what their plan was but listened to my concerns and incorporated my input to insure that the food she was eating was going to help her heal and not work against her recovery.
When they changed my grandmaâs diet to soft foods in the middle of the day everyone went out of there way to find out what she would like to eat and not only did they prepare it, but the Food and Nutrition Director Ted hand delivered it to our room introduced himself and asked if there was anything else he could make that she would like and would encourage her to eat. He also told us if she had any special requests we could contact him directly and he would make it happen.
Then pleasantly to my surprise Aaron the assistant manager of nursing shows up and introduces himself and lets me know if I have any questions or concerns he was here to help. He checked in on us more then once and even helped rearrange the furniture in order to create a setup that would allow for family to visit and not be in the way of the staff.
It is no wonder that the staff here is so incredible when they have amazing leaders who lead by example and took the time to go the extra mile like Chris the manager on 2, Lisa the nursing supervisor and Jen the ICU manager that even took the time to come to 2 West to do my grandmaâs IV.
So here I sit in awe of the care we all have received. All of the staff on 2 West have been and continue to be amazing! However there are several that stand head and shoulders above the rest and those nurses are Janet, Kaitlin, Kristen, and Crystal the patient care techs are Natalie, Steve, and Filomena and last but not least was a nursing student Isabelle (I canât tell you how many times I forget she was a student).
Overall I have to say no one wants to be sick but if you need to be sick 2 West is the place to...
Read moreI actually live down in Manahawkin, NJ and was hospitalized locally around Thanksgiving week. I was discharged and my Copd conditioned worsened. I knew I needed to go back to the hospital again but I could not go locally.
I have been a patient at Bayshore Medical Center before and my family and I knew that I would get the quality of care that I deserve. My daughter with her ten month old baby drove one hour and half to my house and picked me up and then drove me another hour to Bayshore to help me, weâll worth it I believe! I would like to describe some folks below that contributed to my positive experience at Bayshore.
I have met Mark the patient rep in the past and have always felt comfortable knowing if I needed something, him and his team would be there for me. Since it was Christmas week, he ensured some patients had beautiful pointsetta plants for their room and also went to each room Christmas Day and danced in his Elf costume to make us just laugh as who wants to spend the Holiday in the hospital. Mark takes the time to check on patients and I thought this was a kind way to keep our minds happy. Mark also sent up a goodie bag so that I had some ear plugs and other items to make me at home. This man is an asset to your team, he is a keeper I tell you, very devoted to this quality care!
From my Er nurse, named John who took care of me with the mounds of emergencies I heard! I did get into a room, 4 South where I think it had to be the best quality care I have ever received thus far. I felt safe and that was clearly going to help drive my wellness. A cohesive environment on this floor also ensured that I could just let them take care of me. Steph, Patricia and Cait were extremely detailed in my care as well as Aline. I actually had a chest pain incident where I thought I was having a heart attack but as I listened to my nurse Steph, I saw in her face she had my emergency under control and I was going to be ok. Just plain scary! I just saw Patricia a few minutes ago as on her day off had to be here for something else and she stopped in my room to see how I was, this is the care we deserve and Management must recognize all the efforts of these dedicated people!
I had superb PCAs who were very attentive to my needs as I literally had no way to care for myself. Donna Ashley and Orlando ensured gentle baths, keeping my bed perfect and said the right things when I needed it! Sometimes it is the just one gesture that can move you to heal, they never made me feel rushed, they also listened to their patient! Just going the extra mile for each task and that is what makes quality care. Once again, Management must recognize efforts of dedicated people!
I must mention my primary doc there, Dr. Albana who was there everyday for me, listening all the time! Most doctors listen to your chest and leave, five minute max and Dr. Albania actually took the time to heal me each day! I will never forget how he directed my care and communicated that as well each day! I will always ask for Dr. Albana when I come here, he better...
