Bagel Boyz — Restaurant in Hazlet Township

Edit to add 3 month update: Changing this from a 2 star to a 1 star review. Even after we were never contacted back about our original post, it seems the owners/managers do not know how to run this business at all. My fiance and I get the same exact order every time we go to any bagel place and this specific place changed their prices every single time we go. Prices range from $15-$25 depending on who is working that day and who is ringing our up. Our order has never changed since we started coming here but somehow to prices fluctuates each time we go. When my fiance brought this up to the manager he was confused and seemed as if he didn't think this was wrong at all, that it's normal to charge different amounts each time. They refuse to give receipts each time too. So we aren't even able to show them that they charge different each time even when we asked for receipts, so we started writing it in our phones each time we went to prove that they do not charge the same each time we have ordered. Would not recommend this place to anyone at this point. There are so many better bagel places around this area, save yourself the trouble by not going here.

Ordered a pork roll egg and cheese with a hash brown and only got an egg and cheese with a hash brown. They were very rude when I called to let them know my order was incorrect. No refund was issued and they were unwilling to...

The food is pretty good. The bagels are good, the muffins are good and the sandwiches are tasty but very skimp. If you order an egg sandwich with meat prepared for very little meat. And if your a bacon person go else where. They use the pre cooked bagged stuff from Costco. But honestly as skimp as the sandwiches are they still are tasty. The real problem with them is their organization. It's rediculouse how unorganized they are. It's not due to lack of staff. They at least 6-8 people working behind the counter (not kitchen, just counter) Literally watching chickens run around with no heads. They have a pay line but it's worthless for they just randomly pick orders and shout names out to move to front of the line. It's pure luck if you can get out of there in under 20 mins and thats if you called in order ahead of time.

• • • (4stars) After a little over a year now id say theyve gotten better. Porkroll sandwiches gotten beefier and over all cordanation with checking out has gotten better. No longer a nightmare trying to pay for your food and get out. Theres still some days like that but not like it was. Muffins are still supreme. Begals still good. The bacon is still the pre cooked microwavable stuff from costco. Really wish that part would change. But over all a solid 4 stars on the...

Breakfast while working Medic Unit #1201 on March 27th, 2025...

Stopped by at Bagel Boyz at the corner of Holmdel Rd and Bethany Rd.

As usual, first day of 2 shifts means it's Pork Roll, Eggs, Cheese, Tomato Slices, Jalapeno Slices seasoned with SPK between toasted Egg Everything Bagel to corral all of this goodness!!!

Extraordinary Delicious Sandwich to begin the day...

Today's visit, January 26th, 2022

Working second day of our return to Medic Unit #1201 and stopped in here for breakfast.

Today's choice was the Cheese Steak Style Omelet without the normal sides of bagel or toast and hash browns to decrease the carbs.

Omelette was delicious!!!

Only complaint is that they charged the full meal price.

I have been to a number of places that offer just the omelette at a much lower price and it would be nice if they did here and at some of my other favorite restaurants.

Today's sandwich is on a toasted Poppy Bagel with 2 fried eggs, bacon, jalapeno peppers and SPK.

Fresh Tasty Bagel and a fantastic tasting sandwich.

Prices are a good value and this spot is definite...
