What a beautiful shop!! The minute you walk in you are struck by the architecture. From the classic black & white floor and the crisp white food cases.. All food displays were immaculate, neat & tempting.( food displayed on large white platters is so tasteful ) I don’t write reviews often, probably because there aren’t many places that have impressed me with such detail. As we tried to decide on lunch, I was praying the food was a good as the place. It was delicious!!! We had lunch and brought dinner home. Stopped in to il Mercato for a nice breakfast. Very nice atmosphere and the ambience is very relaxing. Very helpful and friendly staff. Just had the best breakfast sandwich ever. Amazing taste and quality. The size of the sandwich was huge and very reasonably priced. Coffee is amazing as well. They have a large selection of Italian dishes prepared for take out. I’ve been wanting to try Il Mercato for awhile since it has been fully renovated. I’m so glad I finally made it in, and I’ll be back tomorrow! We got a sampling of everything from sandwiches to pasta, roasted veggies and deli options for home. All of it was delicious, reasonably priced for a specialty Italian deli and the staff friendly & helpful.
