Home Improvement Discount — Local services in Homer Glen

Home Improvement Discount was a surprise find for me. I'm currently rehabbing my house and i'm looking for any place to save money without sacrificing quality. This means that I've looked far and wide for discounted building materials and fixtures. I've had some small successes by hounding the salvage reuse stores, but nothing compares to my success yesterday at Home Improvement Discount. I found them offering an "open box" Kohler bathtub on Offerup at a great price, so I headed from the city to Homer Glen to check it out. I was expecting to be disappointed by finding a damaged product, but to my surprise it was still in its protective wrap and unscathed. With my newfound optimism I asked about a kitchen sink, medicine cabinet, and light pendants. I was helped by Henry whose patience was on display as he opened a multitude of boxes to make sure I was happy with each item. I bought Kitchler lights, an Elkay sink, Kohler tub and Kohler medicine cabinet. All items are new, never-installed and I was out the door for about 40% retail I'd guess. For what I paid I'd be hard-pressed to get these same items from HD or even Menards with their house brands. I highly recommend it!

My partner found a bathtub on Facebook Marketplace listed by Lukasz. Seeing as we live two hours from Home Improvement Discount, we wanted to be sure the tub would be there when we arrived. Lukasz was kind enough to check their inventory the night before we left to make the trip. Communicating with Lukasz over facebook messenger went well every step of the way. Everyone was helpful while we were at the store and with loading the tub in the car. They have a lot of nice toilets, bathroom cabinets, sinks, lights, mirrors, and more. The only confusing part was that the location on google maps doesn't line up with the actual address. It is off by about 100 feet...
