My husband and I came here on August 17th, soon after we were told his sister decided a very soon wedding date (September 20th). We expressed how soon it was to the gentleman that was helping us and let him know multiple times that the suit for my husband would be needed before then so we would have time to get it dry cleaned and pressed so he looked good for the wedding considering it was family. The man that helped us assured us that we could pick it up before the wedding and took his measurements. What we werenât told was at some point his suit was sent away to another location due to issues with a seamstress and back orders and when my husband called to ask if it was able to be picked up, he was told that it would only be ready 2 weeks after the wedding took place. After he expressed that wasnât going to cut it to what ever employee answered the phone that said âwell if he said it would be ready by the 19th, itâll be ready on the 19thâ, he was able to talk to a manager who told him the situation with the back orders and that they would be working quickly to resolve the issue. He picked up his suit on the 19th no issue (thankfully). On the day of the wedding, we were getting ready and realized they completely messed up his measurements and when he sits, his pants come close to the top part of his calves. (About 3-4 inches below his knees which is CRAZY) we had no time to fix the issue considering the completely irresponsible communication with the staff. Absolutely will not be recommending to anyone else considering our family also had issues (who we recommended to go here and bought outfits for 3 people due to sales/pricing). The least the staff and/or management could do was communicate about back orders and extended wait times. Absolutely disgusting customer service and behavior from staff multiple times. A business should be more worried about being a trustworthy supplier rather than just trying to make...
Read moreI normally don't do reviews, but I've had so many bad experience with three Jos. A. Banks stores that I'm going to go on an adventure. Here I go.
Part 1: This particular store was the worst of all. My wife (now) and I walked in, walked up to an employee that was just standing there drinking a soda not doing anything, and told him that we were getting married - that we needed to buy 12 suits for their buy 1 get 3 free sale. That's right. 12 suits. He looks at us with a blank stare and just points off in the distance and says that we can look over there for some.
Later on, we get someone that actually knows how to communicate. He doesn't know how to fuit someone for a suit even though he tries but does horribly, but then he keeps running off to the first guy we walked up to to tell him sorry for taking his customer. We were never his customer to begin with.
My wife and I were completely stressed out after this. I could go on about other details, but in the end we walked out. We were going to buy 12 suits, but they couldn't care less. I haven't had this poor of service in a long time even though buying a suit is where customer service is supposed to be very important.
Meet me again in Part 2 at the Huntsville, AL Bridge...
Read moreI purchased a shirt from this location and came back to exchange the shirt for a larger size without a receipt. First, I was told that they do not return items that have been worn. Moments later, the "manager" told me that they would buy it back for 50%. I asked the "manager", "is it not true that you send shirts to the dry cleaners after they have been tried on?" He replied, "yes". I asked, "but, you can't take this shirt back and have it dry cleaned with the rest of them?" He shook his head. I asked for the manager and he said, "I am the manager".
they took my information and put it in the system when I purchased the shirt, so there is a record of my purchase.
The last experience that i will ever have with the store left a sour taste. The sales staff, mainly the "manager", left me highly disappointed in their professionalism, honesty, and concern to make it right. I drove to another location and they exchanged my item for a larger size without too much hassle.
My advice: Go to another brand name store for quality service. My friend, who is a former Jos A. Bank employee, recommended that I take my future business to Brooks Brothers at the Summit. I forward that advice...
