Sweet spot away from the "Grind" but oh so convenient. Beautiful Sunsets and views of Diamond Head. Nice little getaway spot..bring the entire family, pets included.. but so you know, the entire island has a high population of felines.. otherwise,...

Sand Island has a lot of industrial businesses, but it also has a softball field, camping, two very nice beaches, lots of places to fish, etc. most of the time it is nice and quiet but once in a while a wave coming ashore might disturb...

My husband works at the base there so I drive down there pretty frequently. It is a beautiful view of Honolulu, but there are some sketchy people at the beach, and if you walk far enough out, people are naked...
