We have a FANTASTIC halibut fishing trip with Captain Herm. He was professional, patient and overall a nice guy. Not mention a very good fisherman. The boat we went out on was newer and pretty clean. We had action from the moment we dropped bait until we left 4 hours later. We all caught our limit and threw back a couple dozen. Our next treat was meeting Yevett to have our fish processed and shipped. She was full of advice on recipes - all of which sounded amazing. Yes, it cost an arm and a leg to ship but it will mean that much more when we eat it! Our fish just arrived to our VERY rural Wisconsin address well within the 2 day shipping time frame. This was one of our favorite excursions we did on our Alaskan cruise! Billy was great and so accommodating to what we were wanting to see and do, and the day certainly didn’t disappoint! We saw humpback whales, a pod of orcas that swam along our path for a long time, sea lions and sea otters! What more could you ask for! After our tour he connected us with a friend/guide and we went on a land tour looking for bears…and got to see a big brown bear right by our van foraging for about 10 minutes. Amazing day! Thank you so much Billy, we enjoyed it thoroughly and learned a lot listening to you tell of the culture and traditions in the area as well. Definitely recommend and would book with this tour...

Tuesday Aug 1 we did a fishing trip with Captain Billy Mills. We booked this private trip as all fishing trips through our cruise was booked..This trip was one of our Best excursions of our Cruise. Billy is a Native Alaskan, retired law officer and expert fisherman and Captain. There were 7 on our 4 hr fishing trip. We went about an hour off shore to one of his Favorite fishing spots. Not only did we catch Halibut. 22-35 inches long a few flounder but saw a bear on the shore line and whales. He told lots of good stories about Icy Strait and Alaska. This was a 5 /5 Star experience!
