Palmetto Moon (Hoover) — Local services in Hoover

My husband and son went to the Galleria Mall location last night to quickly grab an Auburn golf polo. We live clear over in Hueytown and it takes us 35-45 minutes to travel to this store. They walked in at 6:40 - 6:45 pm walked straight to the area of shirts they we’re looking for and selected a shirt to try on. There were three employees working and none of them spoke to them at all, one female employee was looking at her cell phone, one female working at the register ringing up the one other female customer in the store and there was also one male employee working back by the dressing rooms. My son immediately selected a shirt to try on and walked back towards the dressing rooms. It was about 10-11 minutes to 7, and they were told that he could not try the shirt on because the store closes at 7 pm. This is ridiculous! The store is supposed to be open until 7 pm, not 6:45, 6:50 or 6:55 pm, it is 7:00 pm. My son 100% could have tried the ONE shirt on and paid for it in the 10-12 minutes the store was still open. The shirt cost was $70-$80 and we drove all that way to get there as fast as we could after work to buy specifically from Palmetto Moon. I have no idea if any of the three employees has a vested interest in the welfare of the store, but my guess would be no, since none of them demonstrated ANY level of courtesy or customer service or cared if a sale was made. My family was basically given no choice but to leave the store with nothing. I am so disappointed in the lack of service they were given, that I may never allow him to shop there again and it is one of his favorite go-to places to buy clothing. Horrible store, horrible people, horrible product. I bought a shirt from there a week ago and after washing my shirt it was destroyed and when I brought it back they wouldn’t take it because I washed it. They didn’t offer me any way to exchange it or store credit or anything so I guess don’t wash your shirt from there unless you don’t want it anymore and if you do then management will tell you to get lost and don’t wash...

Jamaican lady was very rude when checking me out and on FaceTime while in the front of the store and at the register! Would not recommend coming here as the Jamaican lady...
