Sooo. We went to Belk Riverchase to purchase a piece of jewelry - while it was on sale. We wanted to use an after pay style method called Affirm that does works with Belk. This location told us absolutely NO! Never gave us a chance. The sales clerk was sweet. The short manager on duty came in with her mind set to say no. Sooo we decided just to buy it elsewhere. So we went to the Summit location. We walked in the door of the Summit location, found the same ring and Sharon at the Summit was a breath of fresh air. She was excited to see us and guess what, the manager of the Galleria location?. Affirm DOES work with Belk. So there is that. would recommend your staff learn their partnerships and don't immediately discredit when the customer has solid insight to something. It was a ridiculous spectacle to be immediately thrown down. I say Anu "I think is her name" who helped us. She was a doll but that "little person" who was the manager should have tried harder to understand. But HEY it's all good! We got the ring we wanted and we used Affirm as I tried to tell the little one at the Galleria. It took us all of 5 minutes to finish the purchase at the Summit with Sharon. Too bad so sad there shorty! You lost your employee a sale because of your negative attitude. What leader does that? I doubt you will respond to this because I know Belk pretty well. They just sweep these negative comments under the rug. First lesson, get some customer service skills for leaders. I am a Senior Manager of a company providing customer service 24/7 and I must say. That attitude we experienced requires some remedial training to adjust to...
Read moreI recently went to Mac department at this both of the other weekend and I have to say the customer service I received was awful. I was there for about 20 minutes and no one offered to help me, or help me look for anything I needed. I eventually stopped and asked when the employees where he was and they told me that they had in stock but didn't bother to show it to me I eventually stopped and asked when the employees wear a certain whipped it was and they told me that they had in stock but didn't bother get one for me. I literally had to look through all the counters for the lipstick that I wanted and not just when I had to look for 4 different types of lipstick. And then I was looking for some new liner and no one bothered to help me when I was asking questions about it. And I am in no way racist the all the people that were in there were black and I was only only white person shopping at Mac at the moment and none of them would help Me at all. Kind of just ignored me. After I was done swatch in the lipsticks on my hand I was looking for a tissue to rub them off with. Had a bottle of water sitting on the counter along with tissue so I sprayed the water on my hand and started rubbing off of the tissue and I had a boy enough to tell me to do that because I was wasting the water????? Customer service was ridiculously awful I will never shop at this Mac store again, I will drive to the summit to the Mac...
Read moreIt was a horrible experience on 2/12/2024 around 6:40 or so when my family and I visited this location. The escalator had apparently been serviced earlier that day which left black stuff on the rails but yet management very aware of the issue failed to post signage or shut it down so that the black stuff wouldn't get on customers clothing or hands. When I brought it up to I guess an assistant manager she made excuses and said it was on her hands as well. My thing was that they were not going to pay for the customers clothing or personal items if it got on us and would expect us to pay for the clothing if we got it on theirs so the smart thing to do would be to shut it down and put signage saying that there was black stuff(what ever it was) on the railings so do not use. After us it was about 8 more people before she finally put the escalator safety sign in front of it and shut it down. This is an issue with me because if you knew about it because you were giving out wipes that were super dry so they weren't going to help at all. The other issue is the misleading hand sanitizer bottles in the restroom that were actually soap but said other wise(thank goodness because I needed soap). Like properly label these things or restock. This Belk has gone way downhill, thank goodness for The Summit and Alabaster! They aren't even worth one star but had to put one in...
