Flex Fitness — Local services in Hot Springs

4.5 stars* i went there yesterday looking for a day pass to check out the gym, see if I wanted that to be my main gym. When did EVENTUALLY get in there it was pretty nice and I got a decent little work out. The main problem i ran into was just trying to get into the gym itself.

They have this QR code which takes you to their membership options, and I chose day pass. I filled out all the information... but then, I see a photo required(*). This in and of itself wasn't an issue for me personally. The problem came when I tried to input a photo. I don't know if it's just my phone (which is not old by any means and the proper permissions were activated so it's not that) or something else but it wouldn't let me take a picture then and there, again, not the main issue. So It directs me to choose one from my gallery, not in the usual way where I go to the gallery app, but just choose a Pic from a "tab" that covers the browser. Welp I chose one, and it just popped up like an unrendered picture you'd see off a website. Anyway I tried to just move on to sign up and it just sent me right back to the membership page saying "a photo is required"... i tried 3 more times and it still didn't work.

I eventually called them and the first guy didn't even know why a picture was required and hadn't heard of people really doing any photos anyway. He tried helping me the best he could and eventually got a call from one of his bosses(?) And Ashley got a hold of me and helped me out (she didn't sound all that surprised about the photo requirement, so I guess it's a new implementation?) And offered to help me set a membership if I wanted to, and I appreciate that.

I'm deducting 0.5 - 1 star simply because of the friction with this whole situation and the half hour wait just to enter the gym. Other than that, it looks like a solid gym and the people helped me the best they could and this didnt sound like it happened often, so, 4...

This is the place to workout in Hot Springs! We were in town visiting relatives and were able to get in a workout. This would be our gym if we lived in Hot Springs. Owner on site, very friendly and showed us some Arkansas hospitality. I highly recommend this gym. Plus, you have to stop by and see Flex the gym mascot. If Flex ever sires pups I hope you contact me. Thanks again for the great workout. Next time we are back in town we will definitely...

I have been to every gym in hot springs and this is the best one so far. The owner is a very nice guy and will communicate with you with problems and concerns one may have. The staff and the people there have such good energy that every time you walk through the door you meet new friends each and every time. If I could give it 6 stars I would, because of how much I enjoy going there. I recommend it to anyone who wants to workout or is getting...
