Imagine a place that's filled with nice and fun people getting along, happy dogs hanging around, and also happens to be a gym - this is ENDVR.
The gym: ENDVR is a hybrid style facility, catering to personal training, class based training and overall fitness. It has the usual assortment of kettlebells, dumbbells, benches, bars but also has battle ropes, resistance bands, TRX etc. It is definitely more focused on whole body fitness as opposed to just pumping iron in a traditional gym setting.
The people: By far the greatest attribute of ENDVR is the team. Not only are they unbelievably nice and fun to talk to, they really know their stuff. I have done several months of 1 on 1 sessions with Mike and the level of detail and listening is second to none; I have a bad knee and therefore exercises are modified to ensure that I meet goals but do not get hurt. Even in the class based setting, you get input into your form and how your body is behaving and help in correcting it. Finally, there is the recovery side - Nancy is the expert in this field and hosts classes as well as can help you stretch and recover 1 on 1; with the ever troublesome knee, this has been incredible.
The community: ENDVR hosts classes and events that are open to all every week (even non-members!). They also host social events like movie night, glow yoga, bike rides etc. getting a mix of gym members, the neighborhood and others to mingle. As a nearby resident, this is just a huge net positive to the neighborhood.
Members range across the spectrum of age, body types and fitness levels - and most importantly goals. It is non-intimidating space, people work towards their own goals for their own health.
The dogs: Where else can you find a gym that lets your doggies hang out?
Summary: A unique place to work out, get fit, make friends and have lots of fun. Also, did I...
Read moreSo many positive things to say about ENDVR Active Community. I like to call this gym my “happy place.” They offer different types of workouts which are all effective yet distinct in their own way. ENDVR coaches challenge your abilities and push you to be the best version of yourself while also accommodating your workout on days needed. There are times where I have had a long day at work and the last thing I want to do is do intervals on the treadmill and the coaches are quick to adjust to fit your needs. They explain all of the exercises to you and answer any doubts you may have! They have monthly events to try and involve the community for members and non members. Activities include pickle ball outings, running club, happy hour and movie nights at the gym. One thing that ENDVR has taught me is how to find balance in my fitness journey. I have grown so much since I first started, physically and emotionally. I started back in November and I’m the strongest...
