Last week I purchased a refrigerator from Michael @ Heights Home Products. At his request I paid in full by credit card through the QuickBooks invoice he sent me. He promised to deliver appliance in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. He promised to replace a door and to remove some scuff marks on the outside by the handles. If need be, he would replace the handles. The next day he left a message letting me know that he was backing out of the deal without giving me choice In the matter. He made a number of unsubstantiated and weak excuses: âthat I wouldnât like the refrigerator in the condition it was inâ, that there were âscuffs on the interior that he hadnât noticedâ, the door he purchased to replace old door âmight be the wrong doorâ and that âthe refrigerator was no longer under warrantyâ as he had originally represented. He said he âcouldnât sell it to meâ in the condition it was in and made no attempt to make things right. He did refund my money without question. I sensed that in our conversation and was not disclosing the truth. Perhaps Michael over promised or just sold it to someone else. I asked him for proof of what he had claimed and he didnât offer it up. When I called him out on his breach of integrity in our phone call, he agreed with my judgment, apologized and quickly hung up. I hope this is an anomaly in his business dealings. Proceed with caution! I was very...
Read moreI ordered a DXV Farmhouse Sink from Houston Home Products in October/November of 2020 and it was delivered to me quickly but I did not open it for about five months because I did not want it to be damaged during construction. When it was finally opened there was a flaw in the sink that could only have been made while the clay was still wet. I called HHP in March of 2020 and since it was so long since I had received it they could do nothing about it - or so I thought! HHP suggested that I call the manufacturer. So I contacted DXV/American Standard and was told they could do nothing about it - or so I thought. Well, in further conversation with HHP I was told that they would partially refund my purchase which totaled around $1,100 which they were not required to do. Fine. Thought that was that. However, DXV/American Standard came through and in May of 2021 I received an email saying the new sink was on the way! What?!?! I had already bought and installed another sink. I will give this new sink to HHP and let them sell it - it's an 85 pound sink that I will never need. HHP will refund me additional money to make good my original cost (or close to it) and will keep the rest. Kudos to HHP and DXV/American Standard for being wonderful companies to work with! Being fair - that's what...
Read moreI was looking for some very specific bathroom fixtures. I did not have a make, model or any type of number. Mike Carey at HHP went to work for me. I only provided a picture, yet he found it (both of them). He gave me the information and a cost (with local delivery). As a discriminating consumer, I shopped around and found the same items for sale. The items I found were the same, yet cost 1/3 more elsewhere. I was very appreciative of the honest information and straightforward pricing. I have since received the product in a timely manner and in great condition, HHP even overpacked to ensure delivery in the condition promised. These are not the most expensive group of items in their inventory but I was very well pleased with the professionalism with which I was treated. When I need a new dishwasher, I am going back...
