El Ahorro Supermarket #2 — Local services in Houston

This store is close to my house and quick to get in and out of. The produce is always fresh and the store is clean. However, the staff is very unfriendly, they never greet people coming in. This is a huge negative reflection on the managements training process. Some of the cashiers barely speak English. Today the "manager" was rude when the cashier made an error and he had to come fix it, neither said sorry or apologized. I stopped going at night because making sure the parking lot is well lit, doesn't seem to be an important part of the maintenance budget, it's down right scary. I want to shop here more, but don't due to the attitude of the employees. It's almost like the whole company has this attitude towards customers. I get a very negative vibe when I go in. Love this place, as a none Hispanic guy who happens to love Mexican food, culture and convenience all in one store. Only place i can think of you can eat lunch, make groceries for one or more meals get cell service, repairs jewelry, and so much more. Only major down fall which I totally can't forget to mention, is the astronomical prices on the products, they will eat your lunch, dinner and many more if ya let it.
