I just visited this store to give it another try and once again a bad experience. I waited ten minutes in the jewelry department since the cashier was checking out a lady with over one hundred dollars worth of clothes. I was purchasing a necklace from behind the counter and some earrings from the rack in the same section. I also had one dress. The white lady with short hair refused to check me out. She told me I had to go to the front because I could not pay for my other items, which this is not correct since I just watched a lady check out many items from the same counter which included several articles of clothing and her total was in the hundreds. Iâm not sure if sheâs racist or just mean and old but she needs some customer service training on how to treat customers. Itâs surprising that people that get customer service jobs donât know basic skills such as smiling and being courteous and are bothered by helping customers. She wasnât pleasant, was stern and bothered when I initially asked her for the necklace from behind the counter. She continued with a condescending tone on why I had to go to the front and there was no one else waiting for any jewelry assistance. If there is a rule, apply it across all customers donât pick and choose who you think should or shouldnât get preferential treatment.
The cashier with âcoordinatorâ in her title needs an intense training in customer service. Her demeanor and appearance were very unprofessional. She never once looked at me through the entire transaction. No greeting, smile or acknowledgment. It only got worse when I used a gift card to pay. There was eye rolling and a rude tone because I didnât mention paying with a gift card at the beginning of the transaction, which I didnât know was required. Itâs surprising and unfortunate for customers that people that donât like to interact with the public have...

Read moreI used to love TJ Maxx in general, but product quality and customer service have significantly gone down hill over the last four to five years. Fine jewelry is such poor quality, but I do still check the case from time to time. The older blonde woman with short hair at the jewelry counter is impossible. She is rude each and every time I come in. I speak and ask how her day is, and nothing. Today, I wanted to see a gold diamond band. She acted as if it was impossible to find in the case. It wouldâve helped if she wouldâve taken a moment to listen to me. She kept looking at the price and specs of the ring before handing the box to me. Every other associate takes the item out and allows you to try it on. She simply handed me the box and watched me struggle to take the ring out. I asked for help and she said the ring is bound to the box. False. It was not after I told her itâs crazy to sell something with out letting the customer try it on. She then proceeded to take it out of the box which is when I noticed how trash the quality was. Itâs time for this lady to retire and for TJ to do better. I havenât even touched on the checkout experience. Literally no one speaks to you despite me...
