Welcome, Mamasan Sushi! I have been so excited about this place since I saw the construction starting. It’s directly across the street from my neighborhood, so each day going to and coming from work, I had a watchful eye. This space has been a several things through the years. More recently, it was a custom home builder, then a boutique clothing store. From what I could tell online, this is a location move for Mamasan Sushi. This was confirmed on our visit for lunch yesterday. I heard the waitress telling the table near us. I went with my aunt, who is not a big sushi eater, so I wasn’t as experimental as I would be with a group of sushi eaters. I love having at least one other person to share rolls with and try platters. Sushi eating is not just a meal, it is an eating experience. The restaurants is nicely themed and clean. I had the spicy tuna roll, egg rolls, and hot saki. The presentation was great. My aunt had the tempura vegetables. My food was terrific, and I saw other guest orders that looked fantastic! They have a full menu including noodles, and other items for people who may not like sushi in its true form. For those who do like sushi in full, they have sashimi and other items to satisfy the craving. Prices are good. For my portion, before tip, the total bill was only $27.06. Sushi can be a pricey meal, so I thought their prices were great! The bathrooms are very clean. I will definitely be back to try more. They have booth seating, regular table and chair options, plus, the sushi bar. I much prefer to sit at the bar top for my sushi dining, but again, I was with someone who is not versed in sushi dining. Our waitress was such a joy. She was pleasant, very helpful, and just a warm energy all around. Yesterday was day 5 this new location has been open. The waitress said they’ve had a great welcoming and get pretty busy. I was surprised it was as busy as it was when we went. The parking is a little small. They share the tiny 3-4 business strip location with 555 Bistro (also highly recommend), but the parking can get pretty full. Nonetheless, this is not a place to miss. This little gem is going to be a winner and I couldn’t be...

I have been eyeing this place for a few months, finally last night I decided to try it. Parking lot looked busy, front lady was rude and it looks Iike she couldn't understand what it was beeing said, I repeated 3 times "table 4 two please", annoying. Server was ok, ordered sunomono (octopus salad) had it many times, different places, but here, omg, octopus was cut way to thick, cucumbers were sliced and the spy sauce was super spicy, and green onions were add were added..... not in sunomono!!!!! So no thank you. My chicken katsu was super dry, green beans had the texture of been preheated in the microwave, mushroom soup was edible, the second dish, shrimp tempura was ok with the exception that "jalapenos" were added to the dish, really?? No, no,no. White rice was phenomenal, sesame seed added, so if you have food allergies * make sure to ask for NO SESAME SEEDS**. Cream cheese puff was good. I was married to a Japanese for more than 10, so, I can say all this. Japanese food is super delicious and the "variations " I tasted last night were not good. But, I will be back for the sushi and sashimi, then I will rated again. So, my peers, If you are up to try new things, I recommend this place 50/50 for now. Atmosphere was way too bright and loud. Bathroom was excellent and super cllean. Prices not too exaggerated. Amount of food...

This Japanese restaurant serves the best sushi you can buy at an affordable price. The building is small enough to feel more personal and homey but big enough to serve enough customers. I was able to talk to my wife in a normal volume without being interrupted by other diner’s experiences. We sat at the sushi bar and the chef warmly greeted us and helped take us through the selections. I felt like I was a preferred client even though it was my first time.

The 2 miso soups, 2 rolls, and 4 pieces of nigiri resulted in $66 pre tip bill. This is by far the best sushi at this price point and the establishment is underrated. The 2 rolls were the orange blossom and a roll that incorporated salmon, eel, and shrimp with an eel sauce. The orange blossom was refreshing, light, and full of complementary citrus flavor; by far the most unique sushi I’ve ever had. The second roll blew me away because I like shrimp but I don’t love it, this roll made me love shrimp. Finally we had two nigiri sets in different stages. They showed us how the quality matters and having better treated sushi provides a better experience. I was definitely taught more about the anatomy of tuna and walked away being better off than when I walked in. We will be...
