Read moreWent to buy a blower deck for a Cub Cadet tractor. Confirmed they had the equipment on a Wednesday and again on a Friday. Showed up Saturday AM to purchase and they found out it was in the warehouse and needed time to go get it. Waited until 2PM and they had gotten it from the warehouse. Loaded it on trailer and noted there was no manual and no "bag of bolts" needed to mount the blower to tractor. Kid went back into store, came out with a handful of parts and said "I think this is what you need to mount it." Immediately went into the store to talk to manager. He asked how to make it right, I said "I'll leave tractor, you mount it and have it ready by end of day Monday." He went into back, came out and said "We can't guarantee it'll be ready. The blower has had parts taken off of it, and we'll probably need to order additional stuff so it can be installed." They were ready to send it down the road with a handful of parts that might be enough. They were going ro charge full freight for a parted out piece of equipment and were not going to tell us until I pushed!! Think about that. Pay higher than at Home Depot for equipment that is supposed to be new, but they parted out, and weren't going to tell us!! Extremely shady and I wouldn't recommend anybody buy anything from this dirt...
Read moreNo Can do effort in the Power Equipment area! I used to like this place until I had an issue with my brand new Ariens snowblower. The oil drain plug was seized or stripped and could not be removed. Tried vice grips and other methods to no avail. Stopped in to the Power Center and spoke to Kiley about the problem. His remedy was to wait until fall. I was told that they were too busy now to deal with my problem. I asked about a replacement stem and cap so I could have the machine ready for next winter. Maybe a longer one could be available. His response was that was custom work at $100.00 per hour. His solution was to give me a number for Ariens customer service which was not even the correct number. I had to look up the number myself. I then called Ariens. Fortunately, Ariens was very accommodating and sent out the replacement parts. I would have liked more of a can do attitude from the person at Ace rather than just attitude. Very very disappointed. Most likely will not be purchasing any more power equipment from them if this is how they do business...
