Normally they are great and pleasant but last night I was checking out and very loudly a manger was talking to the bagger for my cart and just from standing there I could hear that the bagger wanted Saturdays off and I quote "If there's any Saturdays you really need me. I can try and make it work" and the manger just kept chuckling at his comments saying "Wouldn't everyyyyooonnee like Saturdays off" and she kept saying no and that leads "need to have open availability, so that doesn't work"
The bagger was trying to be professional and was just saying "I understand that, but I need some off if we can make it work" and the manager was just being super condescending and dismissive just going on about how "everyone would want Saturdays off if they could"
I've been in management for 10 years and this is a conversation that should have been off the floor. The manager, who was an older lady with glasses, was being rude just for the sake of being rude to him. Maybe it's the only power they have ever had and feel like all the hannaford customers should hear how ridiculous it is for a kid in his 20s to want some Saturdays off.

Read moreToday 6/7/2025 I went into the store and at a chaotic check out with 2 lanes accidentally, I learned, marked 14 items or less, I went to the lane to the left which was not marked CLOSED the MOD said move over we are closing that lane. Out of frustration I gave up and walked out. The surly and unhappy MOD has been at this particular location a long time and has forgotten about the customer. Which is going to take more time putting everything back on the shelves that's in a basket or processing the basket. He chose the basket. OLDER REVIEW About 6 weeks ago I wrote a review about Hannaford's Supermarket (Hudson NH location) failed in their response to COVID19 safety precautions. Since that time things have changed for the better. It is now safer than it was 6 weeks ago but a lot of the shoppers still insist on being selfish and ignore some of the basic rules which are difficult to enforce. I went to the deli on july 24th 2k21 @ approx 2:30 p.m and I was asked to wait a minute while this man finished cleaning the cutting machines and counter tops, yah I stood there for approximately 4 minutes, he was rude as rude gets did not change his gloves before touching the food I ordered. I asked him to cut my roast beef as thin as he could ( he didn't care) I got home and it was inedible for me, sooo thick! he did the same to my Turkey. And he gave me almost 2 pounds of meat, I asked for a half pound per meat. I am horrified that this man is behind this deli representing Hannafords, my favorite store. I usually go to Nashua but I was in Hudson so I hit this spot up. Needless to say I paid big bucks for meat I will not/cannot eat. It's a good thing I have opossum s that love me. They'll eat it.
