Little Tyke Learning Centers — Local services in Hurst

My excitement was crushed as I experienced all negativity. First no Hi from any of the 4women that I seen, second one was complaining to another about another employee in front of me, clearly they were frustrated, third I heard one of the lady say, "Why is (little girl name) outside by herself, fourth I'm left in office alone for more than 7mins with computer on (not locked) a cell phone out on desk, no cameras in office that I noticed, fifth finally when someone came AFTER I asked for help that lady told me to tell the morning person where the paperwork is being put at....umm why? It's not my responsibility to tell another employee where paperwork is filed at. Okay and lastly, the day of daycare (only reserved for one day) (as I am in Austin my friend took my son to place) the lady could not find paperwork therefore told me friend my son cannot stay, then they call me (mind u I'm in Austin) she said, "I apologize, I found the paperwork, your friend can come back" I'm like what...anyway. it was just horrible...never again. I did tell my friend about paperwork but this is a week before the day of services, and anyway why should we be responsible to let them know where...

At first I chose this center out of convenience because we live in Westdale but now I choose it because my daughter has been going to this child care (Sotogrande) a little over a year now and her growth has been phenomenal!! I am very thrilled that my daughter is able to go into a school and actually learn and have fun at the same time! There has been a bunch of changes over the past year with staff but nothing to change my mind about this center! The only thing I would change is the lack of surveillance, I would love to be able to see my baby girl throughout the day from my phone. The new director over the center Mrs. Robin is literally the best person for this position. Not only is she a mom she's also a HUGE people person! Every time we see each other it feels like im reconnecting with a homegirl! She's very sweet, kind and involved with all of the children in the center and you can tell they really love her! There's nothing better than sending your toddler to a center where the staff really care about your Childs best interest and Mrs. Robin for sure does!!! Okay, so i live across the street from this place....literally less than 5 min ago there was a "teacher" screaming at one child. Counting down, and them yelling at that one kid again, singling them out. Idk how thats okay, there's got to be some type of training for situations like that. If not, daycares just be hiring anyone. That had me heated lol i almost yelled at her from my balcony😂 Someone with a little boy thats starts with a G or a D, your child was screamed at, and if i was a child, that would've sounded threatening. It was the type of yelling that your mom did before she whooped you back in the day lol it was terrible....beware, that teacher should be fired honestly. I'll make it my mission to post when i hear stuff like that. Be patient and learn, read up on child psychology a bit, doesnt take much, but don't treat them like that, you don't know what they're going through their little minds. Moms and dads trust you enough to make them comfortable being away from home, it's a shame. I feel, you signed up for this job and know what it entails, then act accordingly or get another job dude.
