I came here in need of help. I needed clothes for my daughter to start school this coming year and they didn’t have not one thing in her size. Granted it was my first time. But I talked with the church cross city they told me 6 stones could help with my rent for August 2022 but when I got there the lady said I can do a application but when I spoke with someone about my situation she minded just dismissed the fact I needed rent help and just started helping with childcare etc. i don’t normally make reviews but I just felt not so welcome at all I just felt like another number honestly. The lady at the front brown desk today was rude she only acknowledged people that were her race (african) the others had to get her attention for her to even acknowledge us. I know this review may seem as if I’m being extra but I have never left a place feeling so low and worthless in my life I cried the entire way home because my daughter wanted some clothes so bad. I just felt because I was asking for rental assistance I was just dismissed idk these are just feelings. And my personal experience. Oh and not to mention but they close at 12 Saturdays and even though I waited 45 mins to speak with someone I still got rushed looking for clothes and shoes because they were so ready to go I literally had 5 mins to look. They didn’t even have anything my daughter size which is 8 /9 all the shoes were worn out like trash shoes the fact the accepted those donations says a lot about what they think of us. Idk I’m hoping I’m wrong about this place but agian this is my first experience first impression is everything. And then when I spoke to somone she kept asking me about do I believe etc asking a bunch of questions about my beliefs which I understand but she basically made it seem as if I had to believe in god for them to help. ( which I do believe in Christ . He died on the cross for my sins.) idk like I said this is my experience and I’ve never felt so low...

When it was our time to get help, the employee that work for 6 Stone would not help us. She told me she was going to help me and my wife. She then over looked my wife and I and started helping the 2 people that was her race. I waited until she finished. Then I walk up to the desk and respectfully and explained to them my wife and I was 2 in the building. Then lady she told me to sit down and she would help us. She over looked my wife and I again and help a norther customer that was her color. I am a Black American citizen man and my wife is a White American citizens woman. The Bible teaches us God made us all in His image and we shall love each other. That was very unfair to us.I am happy that Our Heavenly Farther and Jesus Christ see everything in...

My wife and our family recently set up a drive to raise goods to donate to 6stones after a good conversation with them about what was needed for the season. So the plan was set and the event went over really well. We load the goods up into our vehicles and make the phone call to drop off the following day. Set a time window and everything. Drive up to them the following day, no response at the door. Okay, so we call their phones. No answer on any extension. We go home. Following day we get a call from them asking us to come that day. We show up, same thing. After a week of this back and forth we ended up just taking everything to another outreach. Total waste of time to even attempt to help this one. Take your...
