When I first moved to Austin, I had no idea where to get my haircut. My son was in desperate need of someone to get him right, and through some connections I found a barber shop in Pflugerville. There I met some great barbers, but one stood out to me, Will. He was very humble, and did not comment much on the usual Barbershop talk. One day, he mentioned that he will be opening up his shop one day, and I said to myself that is where I would want to take my son. A couple of years later, Will was nowhere to be found, and I did not know exactly where he had relocated to until I saw a post on Facebook. The rest is history from there.
Will's barber shop is different from others. He sets the atmosphere with music, switching it up depending on the day. He offers breakfast at times, and he always has a smile on his face. He and his "barber-in-crime" Mike welcome all walks of life, and share their life experiences with the customers as they discuss everyday happenings, history, sports , Etc. They are even in the process of developing a sign up system through social media, which so far has worked out well. My son loves them, and I do too. Reuniting with Will was awesome. I was even able to give him some of my artwork as a token of my appreciation for him and what he means to his community and to young, aspiring entrepreneurs who aren't afraid to step out on faith and get what is already destined for them to have. Thig's is the place to be, and I pray that Will and Mike are able to expand and flourish as God sees fit. Much love...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMan, so disappointing!! My son wanted to come here for a haircut because of his friends. We live out of town. I tried calling 3 times to check if an appointment was needed or if it was okay to come but go no answer. So we decided to go anyways, it was 4:15pm Friday. As we were leaving the house, I get a text message from the barber shop that saysā ā hello, how may we help you?ā I replied back to let the shop know that we were coming and if an appt is needed. I got no reply back. We get there in Hutto and walk in at 4:45 (right after my son got out of school we went there), a big guy -the barber on duty says sorry, Iām getting ready to close. Itās 4:45? He had someone in the chair and another person waiting. He said the other barber is gone, itās just him. Thereās two ahead of us and someone on their way he said?? What?, that someone was us! He told us he was closing but itās 4:45pm and the door is still open for business! Needless to say, I understand the āwanting to go homeā, I get it, but come on, thatās just poor busines. Youāre running a business and thatās what your livelihood depends on. Open for business but yet turned a customer away. We were turned away, before the business was even closed, my son was so disappointed as I was too about how that was handled. If your not accepting customers, lock your door. If your business hours are until 5 as indicated on your website , then service customers until 5. Really bad customer service and a way to...
Ā Ā Ā Read more$40 for a kids haircut when it wasn't cut properly. More like a $10 haircut.
Told the barber to trim my kidās haircut so he can comb it forward and to fix his trim line. He didn't trim his hair evenly. I had to fix his front edge up line because it wasn't even and also his back top hair was cut shorter than some angles so some hair is sticking up.
Not the best place to get a haircut for kids. Here is a photo of the haircut where you can clearly see his unprofessional work.
The worst part is towards the end I had to tell the dude to correct his edge lines plus pointed out how his hair didnāt look even and he still didnāt make it right. He is very lucky that I even paid him for the haircut. I donāt recommend this place at all.
This was my first time and will be my last time here.
NOTE: This was the single room with a one chair barber that is in the back right corner with the big windows facing the front street side of the business when you enter the front door. I even asked the dude if he was able to do the style of haircut my son wanted and he responded with āDonāt worry I got this, we have plenty of years of experience cutting hair.ā If you canāt cut donāt say you do just to make money! It will hurt your business in the long run with...
