I will start off my saying, we have been long time supporters of Cookies, Cupcakes and More. We live in Hutto and support small local business. On valentine's day my husband purchased 2 couple cakes (vanilla and carrot). Upon eating his vanilla cupcake I noticed him fumbling around inside the cupcake. What do we find, a small piece of saran wrap inside of the icing. Clearly nonedible. Totally didn't stop him from eating every bit. I did return to the store 2 days later to purchase more treat hoping to have a chat with owner/manager to let them what we encounter. I was greeted by a young man that was nice but surprised that I was asking for owner/manager. It took a bit for someone to come out from the back. I could hear discomfort in the chatter from behind the wall. Needless to say, a women did appear to request my needs. I proceed to show her my pictures and video of what we found. She was shocked and apologized. She proceed to explain how this happen. They place icing in filling bags and then place a small piece of saran wrap to cover the tip prior to placing in freezer (I get it stop from leaking). Upon icing cupcake that tip saran wrap was not removed which resulted in my husbands cupcake being filled with this plastic. OK totally seems feasible. She apologized again and was proceeding to go back begind the wall. I said ok thank you, but I would like to get some other treats. Without hesitation she proceed to ring me up for my items, asked the young man to box them and they charged me FULL price for my treats. I paid no fuss. Thank You Cookies, Cupcake and More for showing me your level of customer service. Did I need a free order? No, but the lack of consideration to even comp my single cupcake which contained non edible material or a small percentage off my new purchase was very off putting specifically when you recognized the wrong doing from your operation and understood the discomfort this caused my husband as he enjoyed his treat. I am a very reasonable customer but your companies "how" behavior is not satisfactory for me to contunie to support. Small gestures go a long way. I know we are both thankful my husband didn't chock on this plastic.
BTW my carrot cupcake did not have any non edible components, it was yummy.

Read moreI do not recommend this place for custom cakes. I ordered a cake from them 2 weeks prior to my daughters birthday party. I sent them a picture of my cake and they called me back and said they are able to make the cake and confirmed price and colors of the cake. I called them a week before the party to ask about the flavor of the cake when they informed me they are not able to make the cake because it is “too intricate” and forgot to call me to tell me. I asked if there was another design that can be made so we can have a birthday cake for the party and they told me that they no longer have availability for that day. I asked for the owners name so I can discuss my concerns and the person became extremely unprofessional and stated she will not give me the owners name and she is going to hang up because “I am wasting her time”. I am extremely shocked by the level of unprofessionalism of this place and lack of...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place because they had good reviews and the cakes looked great online. I must say I was very disappointed. They did provide good communication and told me they could do my cake for my daughter's bday. First off the cake was really small. I didnt realize a 6 inch was so small. Then they didnt put what i asked them to put on the cake and when I told they lady at the register she said " oh I dont know anything about that". I was expecting her to say "oh let us fix it". But that didn't happen. I had to go so I just left. Then by the time i got home the cake half way collapsed so It didnt look good at all.So after all that I was hoping it would at least taste good. But NO it didn't. Honestly no one at the party liked it. It was dry and wasnt flavorful. Just a...
