Miguel's Machines — Local services in Independence

PLEASE READ THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! We bought a $600 fridge from here back in December, great price and loved the warranty. About a month ago the freezer stopped cooling, then the fridge went out as well. Both won’t go below 65 degress. I called the store to see about getting it repaired and was told someone would call me back. I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. So I called them again, and was put on hold for over 12 minutes. My boyfriend called and was also put on hold, so he called again from a different number and they picked up and told him they did call me back (they didn’t, liars) and that they would come get the fridge Tuesday and repair it for free we’d just have to pay for the parts. It’s now Thursday, not a word from Miguel’s. They never came to get the fridge and it seems like they never had any intention of doing so. Again, LIARS. So we just paid another company $90 to come look at the fridge just for them to say that Miguel’s ruined this fridge to the point that we would have to pay over $600 to have it repaired. They said the tubing and welding done by Miguel’s was not done right so we had a leak, and that Miguel’s TOOK OUT A PART OF THE FRIDGE THAT IT NEEDS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. I am so disgusted by this company because I know, and they know I was SCAMMED by them. And the fact that they won’t fix this fridge tells me that they know the machines they’re selling are defective along with the work they do on them in order...

Bought a stove here, there was a leak in the gas line, which was bad enough that we had to complete shut the gas line off. We called to get the situation fixed and whoever we spoke to was incredibly rude. We had asked for our money back or for someone to come fix the problem. They refused to come to fix it and insisted that we had to being it back to their store, then it turned into "we can just come pick it up" with no definite answer as to when it would be back if it were taken to their store. They said "maybe tomorrow or the next day" 'maybe' doesn't feed my family, and im sure as hell not going to buy takeout until they decide its fixed because they didnt properly manage the stove in the first place. They were given two different phone numbers to contact when they were coming to pick it up from my home in case one number wasnt reachable, they only contacted one person and left a message immediately stating that if we dont answer in 5 minutes they weren't coming. So instead of contacting the other phone number provided to them, they decided they just weren't going to come. Rude people and horrid...

THEE BEST PRICES!! We searched high and low for a reasonable priced, used dryer. This was our last stop on the tumultuous journey of finding one. I am SO GLAD we came across this place. The people are absolutely fantastic and very helpful. We took advantage of one of the financing options they have. Easy to set up, small monthly payments, no interest if paid within 6 months, all with a 90 day warranty. They delivered, set up the new and took away the old.

Update: we had to take advantage of their warranty before it expired. I called and explained the situation. Sonja sent a guy out within 48 hours to take a look and he fixed the problem within 20 minutes. I can't thank these guys enuf for going the extra mile for their customers, especially during these rough times. They are very caring and compassionate and didn't treat us like we were wasting their time. We will definitely return and let everyone know about this place.
