Pretty decent for a fast and more authentic style dish. Much better than most of the other popup restaurants. Our city has a few to say the least but this one is on the top of the quality list. They often have $1 street tacos that are simply worth every cent of that dollar. If you eat inside they have a salsa table with various levels of spice and color. They also have pickled carrots, onions, and jalapeños. Limes are also on the bar. Various soft drinks and even a small selection of paleteria items (ice cream) are also available here. It is a must try especially if you like more authentic hispanic foods. I recommend the street tacos and my personal favorite is the Al pastor which is normally served without pineapple but I request the pineapple as it is an excellent option and addition to have. The carnitas are good as well and are fried a little on the dryer side which is how I like them. The chili rellenos are fresh and do not taste like they have been frozen which is a big deal for us. Most of the other places like this serve pre frozen versions that just taste awful in most cases but not these they are yummy. Do yourself a favor and go here and try something different or go with your normal favorite item either way I am sure you will like it if you’re into the less texmex version of...
Read moreStay away from this location. My wife ordered the steak fajita burrito, ended up getting a chicken fajita but it also had a piece of shrimp in the first bite. Luckily she doesn't have a allergy or we would have spent the night in the hospital due to negligence. That first bite ruined her appetite and spoiled the night. I ordered the Chicago burrito and only ate half due to it having massive chunks of chicken that made it unappetizing. Luckily I only ate half because I ended up waking up in the middle of the night with a terrible stomach ache and spending a hour in the bathroom. We have been long time fans of the chain and will be no longer returning to this location. Due yourself a favor and go to location off 40 hwy. We have never had a...
Read moreMy son brought me a bacon, ham, egg, cheese & potato burrito! It was literally about a foot long and stuffed! It came with a small cup of green sauce and a small cup of orange sauce. Just the right amount to pour a bit on each tasty bite! Without the sauces it would have been too dry for my taste. Next time I’ll pay extra for white queso 😋
Edited to add: the first review I did for California taco shop was a drive-through visit and I got chicken taquitos. They didn’t seem homemade. More like the ones you buy out of the freezer section at the grocery store. I hadn’t planned to try the place again it but happened by chance today. And I’m glad it did because I will give the place another try based on their...
