The Kendall Apartments — Local services in Indian Trail

I’ve been living at The Kendall for 6 months now, and I have to say, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much I’ve enjoyed it here. After living in a home for nearly 4 years, I wasn’t sure what to expect when moving back into an apartment, but The Kendall has been a great place to call home. From the very beginning, the staff has been friendly and welcoming. There were a few bumps with maintenance when we first moved in, but they’ve really turned things around, and any maintenance requests we’ve had are usually addressed within 24 hours.

The community here is quiet and peaceful, which I really appreciate. In the summer, there’s a bit more activity, but it’s never been disruptive. We mostly keep to ourselves, so it hasn’t been an issue for us.

That said, there are a couple of things I’d love to see improved. The biggest issue for me is the towing company, which seems to start patrolling the lot around 7 PM every night, especially in the summer. I think guests should be able to park until at least 11 PM without worrying about being towed. Most visitors are gone by then, and it would make more sense to require visitor passes for anyone staying overnight. Unfortunately, my daughter’s car was towed once because she accidentally parked in a premium spot. It was an honest mistake, but paying nearly $300 to get her car back was a bit much.

There are a few other small things worth mentioning too. I don’t mind the extra valet trash charge, but it would be nice if the service were more reliable. Since we don’t fill our trash on a daily basis, the service doesn’t offer much value for us. Most of our trash accumulates over the weekend, so we often end up taking it out ourselves.

Another thing is the dumpster situation. There’s only one dumpster for the entire complex, and it can get pretty messy, especially on weekends. We’re lucky not to live near it, but I can see how it could be a problem for others.

Lastly, we moved in during June, and the pool didn’t open until later in July, which was disappointing. When it finally did open, it was abruptly closed due to some people not following the rules. I think it would be better if there was a way to address this without impacting everyone else.

Overall, despite these minor inconveniences, I’ve really enjoyed my time here at The Kendall. It’s a quiet, friendly community, and I’m grateful to have had the chance to live here. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place...

These Apartments are terrible don’t move here from the first week I moved in everything was breaking and they only semi fix broken stuff they never replace it new. Everything is so small when you wash dishes sinks are so shallow and small water is everywhere fridge is old and tiny nothing fits definitely not good for families maybe just a single person no microwaves in the units its 2018 what place doesn’t give you a microwave you have to close one door to get into another door and no room for pots and pans or other kitchen items just super small and bad design. The woman Chrisy who showed us the apartment to begin with lied and said we had a back view very quiet and a door from master bedroom going to the balcony would not let us see the apartment we were actually moving into until move in day well I’m staring at the parking lot not very quiet or nice to look at and no door from my master bedroom going to the balcony so already had a bad taste in my mouth from the first day and when I asked why she lied she said she never told me that I had a back quiet view and a door to the balcony so lied to my face again. Exercise equipment always broken Also there is NO parking NO assigned spots and the parking spots are SO small people take up two spots i have pictures to prove it I always have to park two buildings away from my apartment and last night my car was broken into along with 3 other cars. There is no cameras up in the complex so it’s VERY unsafe here literally anyone can come in and do anything they want. No one knows how to throw out things correctly by the dumpster so garbage is left sitting there it’s so beautiful to look at and it’s a wonderful smell in 90 degree weather SMH. People don’t pick up after their dogs so there is poop all over the grass even in the tiny dog park that has garbages and bags people still don’t pick up after their dog. As soon as my lease is up I’m out of here. I gave it 1 star because Jeff the maintenance man is awesome so sweet so that star goes to him. I’m so angry I even chose this place.DON’T SIGN A LEASE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT...

If I could give this place a zero I would!!!!! Was a resident for a year. Our first concern started when our bottom floor apartment flooded. It did NOT leak, it FLOODED, to the point our shoes were getting soaked as we walked around the entire apartment. You just squished around everywhere you went because naturally they didn't care. They said it was a leak and it was not. After complaining over and over, apartment smelling like mildew they finally brought in a fan to 'air it out. Ok, but for the remaining 6 months we were there we smelt mildew every single day. Living there, with kids, and another on the way. That's how you treat your residents? Second mishap. 10 months ago my husband went to the clubhouse to let them know that our counter tops were peeling off every time we wiped them clean. This should not happen while CLEANING? we used all natural cleaning on all of our stuff. Regardless of what you clean with this should never happen but since we do take care of this and this was beginning to be the result, my husband went to report it and ask that she come take a look and document it. Her response 'don't worry, it happens all the time, not a big deal and you will not be fined for it' . Fast forward 10 months later, move out inspection was done and guess who was charged $200 for DAMAGED counter tops???? Yep, us! She lied straight to his face, and when we tried to argue this and explain it to them at move out they wanted to call US liars???? Unfortunately, if there was any good in this place I can't see it now. Although the two maintenance guys are phenomenal and extremely nice, the ladies in the office are liars. We've always paid your extremely High rent prices on time every single month, and this is how you treat good residents. Don't waste your money, go to somewhere that will...
