I do not recommend this company and would have left zero stars, but that's not an option. For context, I am a business owner that has never left a bad review for any company, anywhere, ever. I worked with Co-DA in Late 2021/January 2022 through my builder Grande Custom.
While i had many complaints (left a messy job site, many things don't talk to one another, door locks don't jive with alarm, 2 tvs hung in the wrong spot, and so on), i chalked most up to a complicated system. However, if things do go wrong, you should not expect much help.
Chris Wasa insisted that I purchase my TVs from CoDA because it would be better in the event something went wrong. After around 8 months, one of my TVs malfunctioned, so i reached out. It took a long time to get any response. When i did, they told me to call the manufacturer which i found odd. When i did, i found out that their team had actually purchased my TV in July of 2021 so, when installed, my warranty was already 6 months old. We went back and forth for months- i reached out maybe 15-20 times. They mentioned working with their rep to get help, etc. In the end, they did nothing to help and simply ignored my correspondence. Highly unprofessional.
The reason i am posting this (Feb 2024) is they gave me the run around for over a year, passed blame on everyone but themselves, avoided all calls, texts, and emails, and absolutely will not help. I believe they blocked my email too.
There were many other problems as well, but I ultimately had to switch to a new audio video company and pay a bunch of extra money in an effort to find a company that i trust long term including buying a new TV. Also, they simply won't respond to me now, so I can't get help even if i wanted help.
The TV was $1,600. i spent $65,000 on my system. this was a drop in the bucket, and any company and owner worth their salt would have honored the warranty since they are the ones that bought the TV and let it sit for 6 months, which is likely why they insisted i buy through them.
There are other, better companies in town that i won't mention on here, but i do not...
Read moreSpectacular bait and switch experience. Spent over $20,000 for upgrades in electronics. Took twice as long as expected, which is understandable given everything going on in the world. Team switched in and out, nobody really had a complete sense of what was going on with the job - one team one day, another team another day, very much a typical electronics service provider (unfortunately). In the end, much of the system did not work, some of it still does not work. I called and emailed repeatedly. After things not working a couple of months post-installation, they had the audacity to say "the system has a 30-day warranty". 30 DAYS!!!!!! I had to pay to have a technician come out to fix the RING doorbell (after having them come back to install it, to put in a TV that I had paid for and was never installed, and to get other stuff to work). It still does not work.
They have a great sales process and, like many other AV firms, terrible follow through. I was really disappointed as I had hoped they would deliver...
