brought my 1000 dollar movado in to have the battery changed. it hadnât died yet, but i was pretty sure it was due. 15 minutes to change it out i was told.
15 minutes later my watch was given back to me dead broken. was told the âmovementâ needs replaced. turns out the âmovementâ is everything inside the watch. i have not been able to get over that i took my working watch to a WATCH REPAIR shop and it was given back to me broken. just a hunk of metal on my wrist.
they offered to fix it for free and even had the part there, but couldnât be bothered to do it same day so i would have to wait the weekend to have my busted watch fixed.
if they can break it by changing a battery, i donât want to know what the hell would happen if they had to swap the internals. who knows, i may never see it again! so now because iâm paranoid of having my watch broken and told to go home with it again, i have to send my watch that doesnât tell time straight to movado to be fixed. just to get them to look at it is 150 bucks so i can only imagine what they will charge considering it needs its guts replaced.
imagine going to a mechanic to get your oil changed and they give you your car back with a blown engine and say they can fix it after the weekend.
aside from that massive failure in customer service, and the massive failure in service as a watch repair shop, the place was fine.
thatâs what i get for driving 40 minutes to support a small...
Read moreThis place is horrible. Had problems tracking my order - gave them an exact description, ticket number, size, weight, color, including the diamond sizes to a point. They had to call me back to make sure it's there.
They called my associate telling her it was ready for pick up. I called them back to find out how much it would be - they told me they didn't have it done in 2+ weeks. The jeweler didn't sound sure about when they'd have it done either after I started asking.
When I did get it back, the rates they charge are astronomical. 100$ for labor and 1 small 5$ diamond. I started cleaning the diamond with a TOOTHBRUSH and it fell out again.
After the diamond fell out, it looks like the prong was hammered on, obviously it would need replacement! They rushed the job, and then they had the nerve to tell me that the prongs needed replacement, as if that isn't required to properly...
Read moreI have a tech ring that lights up and vibrates to alert phone calls, texts and also tracks steps, distance and calories burned. Almost a year ago, the band/shank completely separated from the setting/stone. I took it to several jewelry repair shops, even ones in Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Mexico and was told there was no way to reattach it without damaging the circuit board. I finally found Indianapolis Crown Jewel, Inc., and decided to have the ring repaired, even if I was unable to use the technology: it was basically useless broken and, at the very least, I would still have a very attractive piece of jewelry to wear! However, they were able to fix the ring without ruining the smart features. As soon as I brought it home, I was able to charge it and itâs...
