I lived and Las Vegas and would bowl daily, moved here and my schedule is.. well a typical work until 5 type of day. They do not have open lanes most days of the week from 5-8pm so if you have a normal schedule job good luck getting a lane unless you can race there before the leagues pick up or you go late at night when you need to go to bed or have family to be with, during the week you’re going to be out of luck most of the time. As annoying as that is, I wasn’t that irked until I called on a Saturday (today) to see if they had open lanes. They said yes, all night. Cool! So it’s 6:30 and I go to the alley and ask if I can bowl 3 games. “We only let you bowl by the hour on weekends” I clarified that I couldn’t just bowl 2-3 games? The alley is half empty… they said No, it’ll $50 an hour to bowl. Are you serious???
Who makes these ridiculous rules. How can a bowling alley be so hard to bowl in as a regular bowler who just wants to bowl games. Not everyone has time to or desire to be in a league, not everyone wants to bowl for an hour or two at a time. I’m just a guy who wants to bowl a game or two during the evening, maybe once or twice a week. I’ve been wanting to get back into bowling and this alley has tons of lanes and a pro shop and is the closest one in a 25-30 minutes drive. Brownsburg is close but it’s smaller with no shop.. and still way out of the way.
On top of that the entitled older lady who let me know of these rules seemed a little too happy that I was slightly irritated that I couldn’t just bowl a few games. Merry Christmas to you too. How stupid… the bowling alley is half empty I can’t believe you can’t just give someone a lane. You’re just losing free money.
I don’t think I’ll be coming back, I can’t believe how hard it is to bowl… at a bowling alley..
Vegas had this down way better, they knew me by name when I walked in and were happy to see me there. Not excited to tell someone they aren’t allowed to bowl without overpaying. Actually ANY bowling alley has this better. You walk in, you say you want to bowl, and you give them money, and you bowl.
What a frickin joke. My GF was picking out a new bowling ball for Christmas too, now I’m having second thoughts because it’ll be an impossible mission trying to figure out when I can even use it…
This is infuriating for someone who just wants to be a regular bowler. Please fix your ridiculous schedule and rules that turn away...

On a recent trip to the ROYAL PIN BOWLING ALLEY...... conveniently located @ 6441 W. Washington St...... 🤣 (Sunday 01-09-2022) my family and I were using the metal thing used to help kids push the ball down the alley. The piece had a jagged metal edge on it that no one noticed. My adult daughter moved the piece and accidentally cut her finger on it. No biggie, right. Few minutes later...... my 4 year old grand daughter cut her finger in the same spot!!! Now we have a problem!!! So I storm up to the desk to "bring this to their attention." 🤬 And the first thing I was met with was exactly what I needed in that moment, UNDERSTANDING! No blaming, no innocently worded questions laced with suspicion and sarcasm. Just understand for the situation from MY perspective and a SINCERE willingness to do everything possible to rectify the situation. This team went above and beyond. First thing they did, they wanted to make sure we were all ok. Then the manager made sure we had all the first aid essentials we might have needed. Then she made sure the messed up piece was out the way so no one else could get hurt. So she had someone go and pull the faulty part off the floor immediately... and she, the manager lady, did it all with a warm smile on her face and a GREAT ATTITUDE.She had the kind of attitude that just just makes you smile. Just ALL positive, ALL solution aimed thinking and EFFECTIVE actions. I was not only pleased, I was thoroughly impressed and appreciative of their level of customer service. Thank you guys for being an awesome team...
Read moreDon’t really write reviews in general but this is a very odd bowling alley. Seems to only prioritize the league players, I used to play in a league and know it’s a hefty part of the business, but encouraging recreational players is also important. I bartend downtown and heard some very odd bar rules, only a couple drinks can be held in your hand at the same time…? So they ll sell them to you but you can only carry two at the same time to your table so if you order 3 light beers you have to make two trips to the bar..? Just weird. Hair in the fried pickles we had for the table, with a pool of oil in the bottom (bowling alley food I can live with this, the hair… Yikes though) , we just don’t say anything because we’re industry and just don’t like aggravation. We couldn’t buy another game for two people at 10:18, they close at 11 they say. I can understand 10:30-10:40 last call around then for games but to stop selling games with 45 minutes left thats odd. In total we spent with several rounds of drinks and the food and games over $140 and when we walked out after denying getting us a game at essentially 10:20, all the doors were closed and we had to unlock a couple and see ourselves out when walking out at 10:38. Just interesting how they made us feel like our money was no good there. Well back to Pinheads in Fishers next time we...
