Troy Foods — Local services in Indianapolis

I’ve been buying from Bucks meat counter for 30 + years and now I only go about every 6 weeks to stock up due to the drive but always worth it! So just thought I'd update on Troy foods Over a year ago or more I had walked into the store headed straight back to the meat Counter as I always have for over40 years and I was floored!! The counter was gone,they took it out I am still in shock,these new owners really don't know a good thing,I alone drove from North side once a month and spent $100-$150 in there fresh meats and there was always a line at the meat counter,So sadly I cannot give them a good review, I've not stepped foot through their doors...

This place has been a neighborhood staple for decades. The quintessential mom and pop general store. It sports a tidy little meat counter, fresh produce, and most general groceries. It's ideal when you really don't want to spend all day in a giant mega-mart. You might run into some "characters" in here from time to time, but that's just part of the local flavor. EDIT This place now super sucks. The brothers sold it out to who knows who, and they completely wrecked the place. They managed to take one of the cutest mom and pop groceries in the city, and turn it into the crappiest convenience stores around....

If I could give 0 stars I would. I grew up here shopping & the new owners have taken a small town grocery 1 stop shop & killed it. Selling fake jewelry & t shirts to getting rid of everything in site. Can't buy eggs, bread, milk. NOTHING! They say it's do to a remodel but over heard their not bringing groceries back. What a joke! Theyve turned this place into a gas station when there is one literally not even 300ft across the street. Walked in last night to get what BUCKS was know for, bacon, & again, nothing! No coolers, no deli. Such a sad site for...
